Default Game Crashes at beginning of late era: PercentageUnitAttribute needs a living character with an army.

I get the popup that muskets have been developed. On the next turn the game crashes as the turn progress from Novgorod to Castile. Am I correct in guessing that the crash may have something to do with the export description unit file in regard to General's Bodyguards? I had altered them some, but my changes worked with the early era, and I have tested all of the changes in custom battles. Could the crash be due to something else? I am well into a great game and would like to continue. Plus, I need to fix the problem for future games. I am playing Stainless Steel with BGRV. Thanks for any advice in advance.

To briefly explain further. I have made the General's Bodyguards into Archers and Crossbows for SE, NE, and Islamic factions. Once again, all tested in custom battles and working fine. As I understand it and have tested to discover, if the error lies in the export description unit file, I would have to delete the map.rwm to make changes, and then I would have to restart my campaign. Regardless, I have carefully checked both the export description unit file and the battle models modeldb, and they seem to look fine for late era General's Bodyguard as they must be for early ear General's Bodyguard. Must this problem have something to do with my General's Bodyguards, or could it be something else. Oh, and the crash just says "unspecified error". Thanks again.

P.S. Also, I don't think the crash could have anything to do with the 250 range I put for the crossbow SE and NE Late Bodyguard, as I used the same range for Early Bodyguard and the game worked fine.

Since you are playing Stainless Steel, it might be best if I move this thread to their forum.
