    Default Newselles Manor

    Residents:
Name: Lord George de Newselles, 1st Viscount Newselles, Constable of the Tower (main)
    Age: 33 (b. 1442)
    Traits:
    Battles + 3
    Pathfinder + 2
    Logistician + 3
    Bio
A student of language, George had barely left the grounds of Cambridge University in his entire adult life. The War of the Roses passed him by, even as his immediate family and their cousins the Scales marched off to join the Lancastrian forces. Now as the war has abated, that family has become disinherited, or else lays dead on the fields of Towton or some such bloody butcher’s yard.

His tutors had always thought him a dull student, generally disinterested in his studies and rarely showing a fondness in anything other than ale. Even the news of his surprise ascension to the seat of the recently vacated Barony de Scales only drew little more than a grunt from George. There was some comment towards how “it’s only down the road so that’s no change for me, really” that was quickly remedied by the university taking full advantage of the situation and sending him off with full honours, out of their colleges for good. He’d no doubt make a poor baron but at least he wouldn’t be lazing around all day under their noses anymore.

George de Newselles plans to spend his time drinking, hunting, and perhaps finding one of those desirable female types to fit his new station.

Name: Lady Aurora de Newselles née Mercer (main)
    Age: 21 (b. 1453)
    Traits:
    Survival +3
    Wealth +10%
    Charisma +1

    Name: Jane de Newselles
    Age: 1 (b. 1473)
    Improvements
    TIER I: 10,000 crowns each
    - Grain Mill: +5% income, +1 Charisma
    - Market Square: +5% income

    TIER II: 20,000 crowns each
    - Granary: +5% militia, +5% income, +5 militia replenishment.
    Armed Forces
    50 men at arms
    130 yeoman longbows
    120 heavy foot
    75 militia longbows
    75 militia footmen
    Armoury
Partial Plate (+20 hp, +4 Duels, +2 Survival) - The optimal trade-off between mobility and protection, partial plate armour is often worn by those of a knightly bearing. A thick and solid plate chestpiece protects the vital organs while segments covering the thighs, shins and forearms allow blows to be deflected or absorbed. Leaving the upper arms and legs largely unrestricted means that movement isn't too heavily constrained, allowing the wearer mobility for dueling.

Old single-handed sword (+0) - The old sword of Thomas de Scales, passed down since his death. This sword has since been uncared for and has lost its edge.

A letter arrives with the seal of Worcester

    Dearest George,

It pleases me so to hear of your love for my sister, I gladly give my permission. In other news Margaret is pregnant with our second child, the morning sickness has begun and her belly has grown quite jolly. Do not tell her I said that. She has recently taken it upon herself to determine the sex of the child, adamantly claiming its a boy. I'm not convinced, I believe the baby will be a girl. Young Edward is well, he has begun to talk simple words but I'm impressed for his age. Don't be a stranger come and visit once and while, Margaret would enjoy the company. I look forward to seeing you soon.

    Regards,
    William Mercer

Viscount George de Newselles begins the rejuvenation of Newselles. Since gaining ownership of Newselles he had ignored the economical aspects and income had halved. He now put plans in place for new grain mills and granaries, as well as clearing out the old market square, providing a new and attractive place for traders.
