1. Proconsuls and Censors must be ex-consuls. No exceptions.
2. Pro-Praetors must be ex-praetors. No exceptions.
3. If you character runs for a position that breaks the two rules outlined above, his name won't be in election thread.
4. You are responsible for educating yourselves about the circumstances, limitations, restrictions, and duties and responsibilities of the office your characters are running for. The rules have definitions and wikiedia is a great source.
5. Characters belonging to a player who have made no attempt to contribute at all (not even one post in some sort of public, political thread such as the Curia, Rostra, public sacrifices, voting threads etc) will be ineligible for any office for the next year. If you're not active enough to make even a couple posts, you're certainly not active enough to take an important office for the next year unless you have a good reason for not participating at all in the prior year's activities.
