Help transferring to new laptop

Greets! I am trying to transfer everything from my old laptop that runs Vista to my newer one that is running Windows 7. I don't own the disc, I bought my version (the gold one with Kingdoms) on amazon a few years ago, as a download. I copied the entire SEGA folder and then transferred it to the new laptop but it won't work. Has anyone had this issue before? Any solutions?

Have you tried to click directly on the medieval2.exe file? If it works then you need to adjust your shortcuts.

You will be missing the registry entries for the game but that should not really present a problem (I think).
