Albinus the Younger nearly jumped from his chair, lurching forward.
"Murdered? What?" His immediate thoughts were that his father was consul last year, so it wasn't him.

"So we return to Roma, then." Aulus said, relaxing a little. There were things he wished to return to, most of all.

With the legions on the move again, Maximinius would make an appearance at the Proconsul's office just as Sulla was preparing to leave.

Proconsul, what's going on? The legions seem ready to move once more, yet there is no war nor battle to be fought.

The Roman notices that Albinus was with the Proconsul as well. Something was going on if the Proconsul was preparing to leave by what he saw.

"We leave for Rome immediately." Sulla repeated. "The Consul has been murdered and the city is in turmoil. I am not sure exactly what we are going back to, but whatever it is we shall restore the order to the city."

Maximinius blinks a few times at the news of a Consul's death. What could have caused such a tragedy for the Republic? With a Consul's death, Rome was surely in panic.

We have followed you before, Proconsul and we will certainly follow you now. We cannot let this injustice go without punishment nor have our fair city be in turmoil.
