If you found those pictures in one of the data\ui\unit_info subfolders then the name [unitname_info] will lead you to the unit's entry in the export_descr_units file (EDU) which in turn will lead you to the model entry in the data\unit_models\battle_models.modeldb file which finally will point to the model and texture files used.
Aren't they frames from the intro? The unit itself looks like Jannisary heavy infantry but they have halberds in the game. I don't think the first shield is in the game, the Crusades expansion has some similar ones though. The second shield is used by the mercenary Serbian knights. Probably just a unit made for the intro using parts of other units.
I don´t really know how to open that File - can you give me little explanation how i should go to add this Unit in the Game or just to replace the ones with Halberds ?
Which is in my Opinion more Accurate then the actually one - can CA not make an Patch via Steam to replace or add another Unit like these ? I like the Turks in Vanilla but just wanna have an 60 Units Men of Heavy Infantry which i can Recruit from City - also noticed that the Turks has no capable Militia ? I mean we can just say that they have no Militia while Moors/Egypt has still their capable Units of Desert Archers.

Is it possible to replace the Animations of JHI with Dismounted Halbbrüder Animations and giving them a Shield with their actual Stats on Crusades Campaign ? This will be an awesome mod for Vanilla but i don´t really know how to do that.
