Default Royal Yorkish 1st Army camp

Right outside London, King Edward is sitting by himself in his tent. Any moment now, he is expecting John Neville, Earl of Salisbury and Sir William Willoughby along with their 8,500 man force. Shortly after that, he will be meeting his other adviser Earl Hastings, and the rest of his allies and trusted advisers. He has his bodyguards around him and even though he has a extra 3,000 Yeomen Longobwmen in between the camp and the actual city watching over him and his family, he is concerned about their next course of action. He knows 6,000 plus men is a good number, and will fight well, but when you're facing an foreign force with a tough commander with 10,000 plus soldiers, you start to worry. An mercenary captain of the Switzers, Captain Rudolf Reinhart walks in.

"My Lord.... my men are ready to kill the enemy French...."

    Edward cuts him off.

"Soon, Captain Reinhart. You and your men will get your chance soon".

Edward calls for the two to come in. He also invites Norfolk in as well.

Earl Hastings walks in. He is followed by several other Noblemen like the Duke of Clarence. They bow to the King.

Hastings: Gentlemen , we meet again to fight together. I made all haste my Lord and we made it in the nick of time. In the area, local lords are marching to fight you my Lord, but with us here it evens the odds. We got London at our backs so we must fight, and fight hard.

"Your Grace, the Lancastrians have landed in Sussex. Do we march to meet them?" Kent asked, greeting Edward with a brief bow. He was flanked by his two sons, both bedecked in armour.

    KENT:
    900 Heavy Footmen
    600 Men at Arms
    2250 Archers
    750 Light Footnen

    Total: 4500 men

Gentlemen, what do the scouts say about Hampshire and the other Lords? Are they going to Sussex or marching straight to London?

"They will surely aim for London, Your Grace. Cut the head off the body and secure the capital. Margaret has already tried to do so before but was blunted by my late brother."

London must be secured. I like to strike out at them once they get closer and take a position advantageous to us. Me and Hastings alone have 13,050 men including my 300 man bodyguard of yeomen longbowmen. I also got 2,700 of them in the city that are not counted in that number. I want my family to be protected. How many non milita troops do you guys have? I got some Switzers we can deploy verses their mounted divisions.

    Norfolk spoke up.

"Your Grace, it is indeed vital that London is secure, but we cannot sit idly by while the Lancastrians gather whatever loyal forces they have in England. If they are in Sussex then we must march to meet them immediately. Surely we have enough men here to face them. Though as you say, we must leave a sizable garrison behind in the capital, led by a commander loyal to you, your Grace."

    Norfolk
    1,838 Light Footmen
    5,512 Militia Longbowmen
    900 Men-at-Arms
    1,800 Heavy Footmen
    900 Yeomen Longbows
    600 Knights

How many men? We cannot afford to be outnumbered by to much, we might not be as lucky as we were at Towton.

A letter arrives via rider from Huntingdon:

    Brother,

I have summoned seven thousand men to my banner, and they are at your disposal. I await word upon my orders from you at Huntingdon.

    Yours,

    Exeter.

"That depends, how many men does Earl Salisbury bring with him? And how many more lords are coming to join us? I'd say that we are close to 25,000 men at the moment, though if that is enough is hard to tell. I dare say that whatever battle we will be fighting, it will be a lot bloodier than Towton."

Tell him to march here at all haste. How long will it take for him to get here?

Right now, this is what I believe we need to leave behind as of right now:
2,700 yeomen longbow men from the palace
    Earl of Arundel; 1,800 men
What does the Earl of Kent think about having the honor of defending London? He has over 4K men, bringing the total to over 8k.

From me and Hastings, 13,050 men. The Nevilles have 8,500. Gloucester and Clarenece combined got over 4K I believe. And whatever you have Lord Norfolk.

Within in the next hour, let's make a decision.

"I will defend London if you wish it, Your Grace, but my talents are better employed in the field." Kent sounded disappointed at the prospect of guarding the city, but he would accept it if it was to be his fate.

"Indeed, I believe perhaps that Lord Hastings would be perfect for the honour of guarding London from the traitors. As for my men, I have about 11,500 men with me, ready to do their duty for the king."
