ARE U BLASPHEMING AGAINST THE NOLAN SHTICK BOI
There’s a fine line between genius and dog doo. Jury’s currently out on this one...
Watching the start up is a bit much imo.
I still haven't seen any ep of season2, but am inclined to suspect that the season will be vastly inferior to season1.
There were already tell-tale signs in s1, that the show was a lot less thought-through than the fans wanted to believe it was. Though, as noted*, it was still great that it allowed for so many theories, despite the actual show presenting a story which was simpler than said theories.

I'm watching it currently. Curious to see how it goes.
EP 3: Seven Nation Army on a sitar was a nice opening touch.
Hm. I watched the first 30 min of s2 episode 1.
Looks very gimmicky :/
Not even Ed Harris managed to make me keep watching.
That said, it seems they may indeed be in a futuristic setting (ship looked scifi-ish). Which would account for them using 20th century music in the park, that would have been in the public domain at the time.
Hm, i now watched the three episodes.
I think i have an idea of where this is going. I suppose that in the end (as in season1 plot re Wyatt) Dolores is killed by Ted?
I don't like the other parks, cause they are there for not much reason, imo. And now the samurai...
Also, they tried to show how the host shooting a guest will fire some plastic/other bullet, which only bruises in a minor way; ok, then how does it happen that guests don't routinely lose their eyes from richochet? Still makes no sense.
But, as always, the main issue with the show is the unrealistic premise of having robots do such stuff in the first place.
Hm. CGI budget running low? The tiger did look remarkably bad compared to rest of the show.
And I finally figured what is most unrealistic about the show. Hosts' cup size. I mean, it's fantasy built by humans...
Live, furry animals and human faces are the most difficult things to animate afaik.
Anyway, still an intereating show. But Hopkins absence is really noticable. His carismatic presence ancored the show for me. Also lasts seasons premise was more interesting as a study of human nature in a context of no consequences than this seasons survival theme. (Which lets face it has been done a ton of times before) Bit sick of Dolores and her enigmatic ways too.

The pace is worse this season as well, eg Robert (despite Hopkins not being in the show, Robert is, by proxy) saying stuff, and a rather needless break of two (possibly, not 100% certainly, but i wager it is so) of the timelines being right next to each other (as in a difference of a day?).
Overall, show is a soap opera now.
Hm, i think the show jumped the shark, in ep4.
Ep had some nice scenes, but i didn't like the plot development one bit.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
