Thanks for the release!
Hello everyone!
First, a Big thanks an good job to the mod team for this amazing project! I'm fan
I downloaded both files and placed it in /data and I suscribed to the steam workshop but when I start game nothing significant happens. Tried past issues.
In the mod manager I have Ancient Empires: Battle Mechanics Release ticked but aancient_empires_05_patch and ancient_empiress_05.pack are on /!\ and says the mod be made for an older version of the game. If I click on upload I get error window telling me : You must have a preview image called 'aancient_empires_05_patch.png' in the same location as the pack file (Total war Attila\Data)! The recommended resolution is 256x256. Do you know what it means ? How to make it work ?
The size of the file is 7.04 Gb right ?
Thanks for help and congrats, take your time to finish well !
Umm, will this purple stay on Getae?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Other than that, when I zoom out the units with armour show on the battle map, but the ones without armour just have floating bows/swords. And I've seen Apulii on the campaign screen, will they be playable as well?
I don't know how to edit my previous post, but tick the "Enable-out-of date mods" below the Play button.
So, first, congratulations on this wonderful partial release.
Second, can you confirm this is the battle-pacing/tactics/damage mod which coupled with the campaign changes describes the entire AE experience? If so, can I use my own campaign altering mod(s) and combine with this battles mod?
I have done that with various other mod combinations, usually I run into problems with the one .pack overriding the other or a conflict arising, which I have to mod myself manually.
But if this only modifies the battle tables such as morale/fatigue/damage/unit speeds etc. I just wanted to confirm I should likely not have any issues and be able to incorporate the battle portion of AE into my own modded campaigns?
Is this working through steam MM or MM? as i know the original MM is broken and no games start up with it.

Got wrecked for the first time in so long against the AI haha. Was distracted by the gorgeous units though.
The Roman Republic has two units just called Cohors Sociorum. I'm assuming one is supposed to be the Hastati and the other the Principes?
Campaign is just in an alpha phase i guess. I started the game as rome and fought a huge battle with 2 double stacks.
Have not played any further so i dont know what state it is in besides couple of things i clicked on.
Are there any links for the particle effects mod (the one that adds dust and stuff)? Or can u just use a generic one, like one for R2TW?
I'll release that later on

Really good mod, just played a battle, love the fatigue and moral system, one thing i would point out in terms of aesthetic is that some of the republican units such as the cohors extraodinaii and Triarii are kitted out the Weisenau Type Helmets, these being much later and do not reflect the period, also the Prinicipii have a similar oddity, Weisenau Type Helmets. Early example of this helmet type attributed to the Augustan/Tiberian period which is much later. Great mod.

I'll tell that to our unit creators. Rep Rome will be redone at some time in the future.
