Information Thread for Potential New Ogre Kingdoms Units
Wandering armies of Ogres can be found wrecking their way across the world, and they have many strongholds in far off and exotic realms. Despite their widespread nature, all Ogres refer to the scattered kingdoms along the slopes and river valleys of the Mountains of Mourn as their homeland. It is here, amongst those peaks and lowlands, that the Ogres rule over their own brutal domain. Although they may spend years plundering the four corners of the world, hiring out as mercenaries or stomping trails of destruction across various nations, an Ogre will always seek to return to the Mountains of Mourn, if for nothing else than to boast about his exploits.

Tribal, Enslaved and Monstrous Regiments and Other Notables
Lords and HeroesSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Bruisers = Are Ogre heroes who act as enforcers for Tyrants. Bruisers that win the Tyrants favour have the honour of carrying the Battle Standard. Bruiser's act as the group-leader or the lieutenant of a number of Ogre Bulls, being similar or the equivalent to a Captain or Sergeant compared to the other races of the Warhammer World.

Burnt Butchers = His name is still praised by Butchers across the Ogre Kingdoms, many of who still ritually burn themselves in honour of the first great prophet.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Groth_Onefinger
Butchers = Through the gory ritual preparation and consumption of meat, Butchers channel a portion of their fearsome deity's eternal hunger into feats of magic.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Butchers
Firebelly = After participating in several near fatal challenges that often kill even the hardiest ogres, they will gain these rare powers. As an announcement of a new member of the Firebelly tribe, the fire maw, a volcano in which they worship will belch out a huge tower of lava for all the ogres to see.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...e#Social_Class
Head Honcho = Honchos stir up trouble and insurrection within the Ogre Kingdoms and are usually hunted down and killed, either by their Ogre masters or by jealous followers who would usurp them. As a result most Gnoblar leaders are extremely paranoid and cautious. Sometime an especially pompous or foolhardy Head Honcho will keep a Rhinoxen as a pet and do his best to hang onto its back as he guides it into battle, often shortly before being trampled to death by it. In the Gnoblar Horde army list from White Dwarf.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Slaughtermasters = Slaughtermasters are the chief adepts of the Great Maw and as such they gain access to a greater portion of its food-thirst, projecting the Gut Magic with greater range.
http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Butcher
Tyrants = Ogre Tyrants are the dominant males of their tribe. An Ogre can attain the status of Tyrant by defeating the current Tyrant in combat and eating him. As a Tyrant, an Ogre is privileged to the best life an Ogre can have.

Ogre TribesSpoiler Alert, click show to read:This does not include every tribe, only those I could get units from.
Blood GuzzlersSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Arachnid Hunters = Having settled in a valley notoriously haunted by enormous spiders, the ogres have become expert arachnid hunters. Blood Guzzler Butchers brag that they can roast, de-leg and devour even the largest of Spiders in mere moments and the huge piles of many-segmented legs and empty exoskeletons that are left after a typical Blood Guzzlers feast attests to that skill.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Guzzlers
Feastmaster TribeSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Feastmaster Halflings = Blaut Feastmaster, captured a string of the small folk during his many travels and, in a display of foresight and extreme self-control, brought them home for the lads instead of eating them then and there. The Halflings, in perpetual fear of ending up 'in the trough', fulfill much of the same role as Gnoblars, but in addition to fetching, they also help to prepare the food.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...stmaster_Tribe
LazarghsSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Lazarghs = His descendants still live on the outskirts of the wastes that used to be the Ogre homelands, and are twisted and malformed creatures, permanently wrapped in filthy sackcloth, with chains and piercings studding their flesh. They regard the Great Maw as their Tyrant, and the sound of their bells haunts the passes that lead to the Maw itself.

Ironskin TribeSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Ironskin Bulls = There is no specific lore for this unit, other than being mentioned as part of the Ironskin Kingdom army list. However, it should be noted that Ironskin Ogres are obsessed with collecting and wearing as much Iron as they can, so they’d likely be very heavily armoured.

Ironskin Gnoblar Fighters = There is no specific lore for this unit, other than being mentioned as part of the Ironskin Kingdom army list. I’d imagine the Gnoblars follow the same obsession as the Ironskin Ogres and try to wear as much iron as they can.

Ironskin Maneaters = There is no specific lore for this unit, other than being mentioned as part of the Ironskin Kingdom army list. However, it should be noted that Ironskin Ogres are obsessed with collecting and wearing as much Iron as they can, so they’d likely be very heavily armoured.
https://www.scribd.com/document/14246517/Rhinox-Cavalry
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Maneaters
Ironskin Rhinox Riders = Ogre Rhinox riders return to their tribe with their prize, but not for long. There is a fortune to be made as a mercenary for a young Ogre with his own Rhinox, and every spring a few new bulls from the upper slopes will join together and sell their services as the heaviest shock cavalry known in the Warhammer World. It is well-known that almost all Rhinox Riders abroad hail from the Ironskin kingdom.
https://www.scribd.com/document/14246517/Rhinox-Cavalry
Ironskin Scraplauncher = There is no specific lore for this unit, other than being mentioned as part of the Ironskin Kingdom army list. However, it should be noted that Ironskin Ogres are obsessed with collecting and wearing as much Iron as they can, so this fires gold instead of iron.
https://www.scribd.com/document/14246517/Rhinox-Cavalry
Ironskin Slavegiant = There is no specific lore for this unit, other than being mentioned as part of the Ironskin Kingdom army list. Although it is not an Ogre, the Ironskin Kingdom is obsessed with collecting and wearing as much Iron as they can, so they’d likely make these very heavily armoured too.

https://i.imgur.com/JjFA4G4.png Warhammer 3rd Edition Armies Book
InfantrySpoiler Alert, click show to read:Bulls = The term Bull is used for any adult male ogre. Bulls make up the majority of any army of the Ogre Kingdoms, an unwashed mass of muscle and fat that can flatten landscapes as well as settlements when they gather in sufficient numbers.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ogre_Bulls#fn_1a
Giantbreakers = Nowadays an Ogre that has led a Giant Hunt and successully brought in and broken a Slavegiant is hailed as a great warrior. A Giantbreaker is invariably extremely strong and supremely confident of his own abilities.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Skytitans
Hunters = Bereft of a tribe's protection and beefy companionship, the lone Hunter must learn to track and kill, while simultaneously not becoming prey to any ferocious beasts -- it is all too common for the Hunter to become the hunted!
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ogre_Hunters
Ironguts = They go into battle armed with massive two-handed weapons, be they enormous scimitars, rocks bolted to tree boughs with iron bands, or simply gigantic versions of the traditional Ogre club.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ironguts
Leadbelchers = It is easy enough to spot Ogres from a Leadbelcher unit, for their faces are scorched, they bear severe powder burns, regularly feature eye patches and often resort to protective metal plates hammered into their faces. This is the legacy of point-blank detonations and an imperfect, if not downright clumsy, understanding of black powder.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Leadbelchers
Maneaters = It is the pay that matters, not the foe, although with some contracts Maneaters are awarded fallen enemies to eat, so in those cases the enemy may matter. Ogres will eat anything, but they have preferences!
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Maneaters
Maneaters (Arabian) = Maneaters inherit the cultures of the lands they visit rather than spread their own. These mercenaries learn the fighting skills and adopt the style of dress appropriate to the lands in which they fight.

Maneaters (Cathayan) = Maneaters inherit the cultures of the lands they visit rather than spread their own. These mercenaries learn the fighting skills and adopt the style of dress appropriate to the lands in which they fight.

CavalrySpoiler Alert, click show to read:Bull Rhinox Riders = Same as Rhinox Riders, but the rhinox is now fully grown.
https://www.scribd.com/document/14246517/Rhinox-Cavalry
Mournfang Cavalry = High up the slops of the Mountains of Mourn lives a cave-dwelling beast that has always attracted the attention of the Ogres -- the Mournfang. Aggressive predators that stalk the icy slopes, Mournfang packs are led by the largest of their kind and, working together, they can hunt and kill anything that lives in that harsh domain.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mournfang
Rhinox Riders = Ogre Rhinox riders return to their tribe with their prize, but not for long. There is a fortune to be made as a mercenary for a young Ogre with his own Rhinox, and every spring a few new bulls from the upper slopes will join together and sell their services as the heaviest shock cavalry known in the Warhammer World.
https://www.scribd.com/document/14246517/Rhinox-Cavalry
Slave RacesSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Blood-Gnoblars = High up in the peaks of the Mountains of Mourn dwell the Blood-Gnoblars. They look like ordinary Gnoblars except their warty hides range from different hues of browns to dark reds. They also have a heightened sense of hearing, perhaps due to the high altitude of their mountain top lairs, making them exceptional Trappers. Many Blood-Gnoblars spend all their time fortifying their lairs and setting traps for any curious interlopers. In Gnoblar society it is the Blood-Gnoblars who were first responsible for teaching other Gnoblars the best techniques of trapping and scouting. As a result, many Gnoblar Trappers will go to great lengths to look like a Blood-Gnoblar, achieved through a blood ritual in which a captive is drained of blood and once exsanguinated, the Gnoblars douse themselves in it. From the Gnoblar Horde army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Boglars = Also known as Marsh-Gnoblars or Swamp Goblins, Boglars are a breed of Gnoblars that live in marshes, bogs and swamps. Boglars look like any other Gnoblar though their skin is a greenish-grey and they have beady yellow eyes. They spend much of their time catching frogs, fish and other amphibious or reptilian critters, dissecting them with broken sticks and eating them alive. Although Boglars normally seem to affiliate only with other Boglars, Gnoblars and Goblins, a large tribe of Boglars in the Marshes of Madness have been rumoured to be in alliance with strange, cyclopean creatures. From the Gnoblar Hordes army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Flingers = Gnoblars with a sling. From the Gnoblar Horde army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Gnoblar Fighters = Gnoblar Fighters arm themselves with an assortment of broken bottles, swords, spear tips, false legs, fangweasels, pointy sticks and rusted daggers - basically anything they can get their grubby, grasping hands upon.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar_Fighters
Gnoblar Magpies = These are a lightfingered, mean-spirited culture of Gnoblars that usually swarm Old Worlder caravans crossing the Ogre Kingdoms and make off with anything they can carry for their own tiny imitation scrap-caravans.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Gnoblar Trappers = They will attempt to capture and kill anything up to the size of a mountain goat. Gnoblar Trappers decorate themselves with the pelts of their prey, and are adept at laying mantraps, stake pits and barbed nooses of all sizes.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar_Trappers
Gore-Gnoblars = In his wake, he leaves a trail of dismembered limbs and body parts, which it is the duty of his Gore-Gnoblars to retrieve and deposit into his cauldron.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...he_Slaughterer
Lookout-Gnoblars = Gnoblars are often bullied into makeshift crow's-nests at the top of the Ogre banners. If an enemy is targeting the Ogres below, the Gnoblar can either give advance warning of the threat, or fall to his death.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Luck-Gnoblars = Ogres often come to the point where they believe certain long-lived pet Gnoblars are lucky charms. Occasionally, this proves to be true; after all, it can be considered lucky when a foe's blade opens up a pet Gnoblar's skull rather than the Ogre's throat.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Lucky Gits = Those Gnoblars even luckier than other Luck-Gnoblars are known as Lucky Gits. A prospective Git will only join their ranks after some exceptional feat of fortune; the sole survivor of an avalanche, or making it through the digestive tract of a great mammoth alive. Lucky hits garb themselves in all manner of blue things as they believe it attracts more good luck. Indeed, many Lucky Gits daub themselves in bright blue warpaint, from small tattoos to covering their entire bodies in woad. From the Gnoblar Horde army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Manbiters = Being the biggest and baddest of their kind, Manbiters aspire to become better than other Gnoblars and this has led many Manbiters to embark upon wild, irrational expeditions arose the continent. Sometimes a large mob of Manbiters will band together and travel together as mercenaries and sell-swords on short-lived quests to gain fame and steal good war stories. From the Gnoblar Horde army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Name-Gnoblars = Some Ogres have almost comically long and overcomplicated names, but these mighty individuals invariably have enough status to keep a Name-Gnoblar or two around to remember the Ogre's title.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Pigback Riders = Gnoblars take part in many obscure and dangerous sports; among the most popular of these is ‘pig jousting’. Two Gnoblars sit across from each other on the backs of pigs with large spears and charge at each other in an attempt to unseat their opponent. When a Gnoblar Horde goes to war, some Gnoblars will attempt to play ‘pig jousting’ with the enemy. Real pigs will not suffice in the intense circumstances of warfare so instead Gnoblars ride atop each other in a ‘piggy-back’ manner using their same ‘pig-jousting’ tactics to slay or irritate the enemy. From the Gnoblar army list.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Scalp-Gnoblars = These Gnoblars help Butchers create Skullmantles out of the skin and hair from the boiled heads of defeated enemies.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Skullflinger = Stronger flingers.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Sword-Gnoblars = These Gnoblars hide between the legs of their master, poking sharp implements into the flesh of whoever is occupying his attention during the battle.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
Toad-Gnoblars = Years ago there was much debate among scholars about the mythical Toad-Gnoblars, creatures said to multiply in number at the mere touch of water. Such bizarre theories have, of course, never been proven, not has a Toad-Gnoblar ever been actually seen. Yet several breeds of Gnoblar have been described with similar wondrous and mythical abilities to that of the Toad-Gnoblar.
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Tooth-Gnoblars = Ogre butchers usually surround themselves with bloodstained menials that do the Butcher's bidding and, one way or another, provide ingredients for his shamanic magicks. These Gnoblars tread a thin tightrope between usefulness and palatability.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gnoblar
MonstersSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Blood Vultures = They live in the Mountains of Mourn, Ogre Hunters capture them.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Vultures
Gorgers = The caves of the Mountains of Mourn are home to many monstrosities and it would take extreme good luck for a full grown Ogre to survive for a week.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Gorgers
Hobhounds = "Hobhounds are bull-chested brutes with broad, squat bodies as massive as a horse. Their fur is close and black, their legs are crooked and their heads squashed like that of a bull mastiff. A hobhound's teeth are razor sharp and its general appearance is quite awesome."

http://www.collecting-citadel-miniat...ile:C36-52.jpg
Sabretusk = Although the sabertusk are predators, there have been reports of them being tamed and used by Ogres as hunting dogs, or companions to their masters.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Sabretusk
Slavegiant = Any Tyrant knows full well that should the Giant make it into a neighbour's territory, his rival might gain a serious advantage in both status and martial power.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Slavegiant
Stonehorns = Stonehorns are massive, horned, woolly beasts endemic to the Mountains of Mourn, that the Ogres tame and use in battle.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Stonehorn
Thundertusk = Their hulking mass exudes an aura, a subzero blast of arctic air so cold it congeals blood and freezes their prey. Thundertusks advance as relentlessly as a winter storm, using their numbing airs to slow their victims down, allowing the beasts to bring their cumbersome but crushing mass to bear.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Thundertusk
Yhetees = The pale pelts of the Yhetees make them hard to spot in the snowy landscape, and only when their shaggy hair is overly matted and blood-speckled are they easy to pick out.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Yhetees
War MachinesSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Mon-Oger Chariot = An immense Ogre chariot pulled by sabretusks.
https://i.imgur.com/6TwJD7P.png White Dwarf 91
Scraplauncher = It is an impressive war machine. It is a large and unconventionally built catapult pulled along by an enormous woolly beast. It's design is haphazard -- the ramshackle construction seemingly built 'on the go' with a random collection of cast off materials.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Scraplauncher
Rhinoxen Chariot = Mentioned in the Head Honcho section of the Gnoblar Horde army list from White Dwarf. “Rhinoxen are huge, hairy cave-beasts with giant horns, used by Gnoblars to pull their trading caravans and chariots.”
http://www.alamogt.com/pdf/Gnoblar-Horde.pdf
Ironblaster = Huge cannons which were found in the ruins of an old Sky-Titan castle by Bhograt Seven-Bellies during the Great Gnoblar Purge of 2211. Seeing it covered in elaborate friezes depicting a war in the heavens, he tamed a nearby Rhinox with repeated blows of his clubs, strapped the cannon to the creature and lumbered along.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...e#Social_Class
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ironblaster
Siege TrainSpoiler Alert, click show to read:"The only realistic solution to breaking massive fortifications is to employ a formidable siege train which includes siege engines of gigantic proportions capable of smashing down the strongest walls, gates and towers quickly. These machines are so huge that they cannot easily be constructed in the field. Instead, they must be manufactured in advance, often in pre-fabricated sections which can be transported in wagons, on ships, or stored until needed in fortresses."
https://i.imgur.com/SZ5PSHZ.png White Dwarf 155
The Giant Battering Ram = "The giant battering ram is cut from the tallest and strongest tree in the realm and shod with a massive iron or bronze head. Hundreds of men are needed to pull the ropes that swing the ram to strike a gate or fortress wall. One blow will smash great oak doors like matchwood or crumbles masonry into powder, collapsing towers and walls like sand castles. The hides of a thousand beasts form its canopy, protecting the operators from the arrows of the defenders."
https://i.imgur.com/SZ5PSHZ.png White Dwarf 155
The Great Cannon = "The great cannon is a cannon so big that the ruler will have to make special measures to get hold of enough metal to make it. All the bells in the realm or all the cannons of the fleet may have to be melted down to provide enough bronze to cast a single great cannon. It is so monstrous that hundreds of oxen are required to pull it."
https://i.imgur.com/SZ5PSHZ.png White Dwarf 155
The Siege Tower = "Hundreds of wagons are required to carry the pre-fabricated timbers that make up the siege tower, and when these are put together the siege tower will be raised higher than any known wall. Bolt throwers shoot out of port holes on each of its many levels. A drawbridge or spiked corvus is ready on the top of the tower to be dropped on the enemy battlements allowing attackers to swarm across, constantly reinforced by a steam stream of soldiers."
