Information Thread for Potential New Tomb King Units

The Tomb Kings are the sovereign and undying rulers of all Nehekhara. They are all that remains of an ancient and far-flung civilization that had long ago vanished from history, its people long dead and their cities naught but dried ash and shifting sand. These unliving Kings and his personal retinue of warriors and priest are all that remains to remember their passing. Since then, the Tomb Kings have ever reign from their necropolis as they had always done, attempting to imitate the life they once knew and loved.

Master of Arrows = It became tradition for a newly crowned king to honour the greatest marksmen amongst his legions with his royal bow. This chosen warrior was bestowed the title of Master of Arrows, a position that held much prestige among the common soldiery.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Skeleton_Archers

Master of Chariots = These scarred warriors were typically a minor blood relation to the royal family, such as a cousin, and thus had the aristocratic superiority to back up his years of fighting experience. The Master of Chariots was a ruthless disciplinarian, and under his command, the noble-born charioteers were drilled until they were elite warriors fit to fight in the king's name.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...leton_Chariots

Master of Horse = These warriors would then spend the rest of their lives fighting from the saddle, drilled under the tutelage of the king's Master of Horse - a grizzled veteran bearing the scars of several bloody campaigns.

Tomb Guard (Spear and Shield) = The Tomb Guard lived in luxury, each having a dozen slaves to tend to their wargear so they could keep their attentions focused on their sacred duties - the preservation of the king's life and dominion. Tomb Squigs = ”The first sign of a Tomb Squig infestation is usually the white fungus and mushrooms found growing nearby. Tomb Squigs feed upon the remains of the dead, finding bones particularly appetising. Often found in Dwarfen tombs that have been broken open and looted, they are sometimes also found in graveyards, where they burrow through the soft soil, going from corpse to corpse. Slightly smaller than regular Squigs, they are pasty white or pale grey in colour and have small, blood red eyes. They possess amazingly powerful jaws, which they use to break open stone sarcophagi and to bite through the ceremonial armour Dwarfs often bury their dead in. Tomb Squigs can really ruin a tomb robber’s day—not only do they present a threat to life and limb, they can also destroy valuable weapons and armour hidden in the tomb.”

Guardian Undead similar to the Bastethi have also been found amongst the ancient barrows of the Old World, particularly in the Border Princes. http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bastethi

Greater Basethi = ”They are the mummified remains of the Temple cats revered as sacred by the ancient Nehekharans. These Undead felines are reservoirs of necromantic power, causing other Undead near them to become more dangerous, even raising nearby corpses as Zombies or Skeletons. Settuneb’s Own = King Hassep's son, Prince Settuneb, led this unit from atop a chariot made of purest ivory, carved from the tusks of an enormous sea beast slain by the Lybaras navy. No fewer than ten chariots made up the hand-picked unit, which first gained fame when Settra had called for the Great Games to commemorate the marriage of his sixth son.

The Silent Warriors of Zabbai = ”They were not the linen-shrouded honour guard from the throne room, nor were they the bare-boned skeleton archers he’d seen on the galley. Instead they wore the remains of what looked like cuirasses made from reptile hide, and bone and feather decorations dangling from their arms and around their necks. The shields they carried were made from the armoured plates of what he could only assume was some great insect, and the khopesh each had sheathed on its bony hip had a pommel in the shape of a scorpion’s sting. The bows they carried were stout things, intricately carved and maintained, despite the general air of decay that clung to their owners.”

Lions of the Sand = From out of Zandri's Temple District strode the Lions of the Sand. These towering ushabti bore great ceremonial weapons with great blades at each end. Their old filigree shone even in the darkness, for these guardian monuments had long stood duty over the temples of Zandri. The Lions of the Sand had only ever been awoken in times of great need, and they had always marched out to victory.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...ns_of_the_Sand

Sable Vipers = The Sable Vipers were held close to King Behedesh's centre, to be released as a shock attack on any foe's most formidable-looking formation, for any foe that caught even a glimpse of these creatures would crumble to dust.

Default Re: Information Thread for Potential New Tomb King Units

    Special and Named Characters

Here will be a full list of every possible Legendary Lord or Legendary Hero that I could find for Tomb Kings. I have split them into different categories and whether they suit being Lords or Heroes, so it is easier to know which they are best suited to being added to, if someone wished to add them to the game. Also, there are a fair number that I couldn't place into one territory or other, so I guess they'd be free to put wherever someone wanted. Without further ado, here we go.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Amun II, of the Third Glorious Dynasty of Khemri = "In the south, as almighty Settra pushed on towards Nagashizzar, the armies of Amun II, of the Third Glorious Dynasty of Khemri, and King Ximhotep have pushed north and west towards Mount Bloodhorn. Both armies have met stiffening resistance in the form of Black Orc Warboss Uzgor Scabgrit, who has so far fought the advancing Undead to a standstill."
    The Loremaster's Journal

Prince Imhotep, High Priest of Settra = "The High Elven spice port, Copher, was under attack - the forces of darkness advancing upon them en masse. Row upon row of shambling skeletons came forth, led by Prince Imohtep, High Priest of Settra. The only thing that stood between them and the port's walls was a deep chasm. The Elves' only hope was to use the crevasse to their advantage, and try to slow down the unstoppable horde before reinforcements could arrive..."

Settra the Imperishable = Ambitious, ruthless, and extremely arrogant, Settra set out to forcibly unite all the cities into one unified kingdom. After a series of wars, he succeeded, and became the High King of the kingdom of Nehekhara.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Settra

The Herald Nekaph = Those that refuse to kneel before the might of Settra, or those that foolishly choose to attack Nekaph's assembled legion, must face the unbridled wrath of Khemri. Leading from the front, Nekaph advances towards his foes, smashing them asunder with every blow of the Flail of Skulls.

Rhupesh, Son of the Ox and Asp = A king before Khalida, potentially her grandfather. He was found in a basket of rushes stamped with runes that the Nehekharans did not understand but was raised by the barren queen of the land as a king. Parchment skin hung in dry folds from a sunken skull, and a gap-toothed jaw worked up and down as guttural syllables spilled out in an ancient tongue. Magical Weapons, Armour, Amulets, Scrolls and Other Items

This section deals in those magical items that can be used by this faction. This is by no means a full list, I doubt I'll ever get that, but it will provide modders with information if they wish to add new magical weapons, armour and items into the game to be used.

    Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
When a storm of magic breaks, it isn’t merely battlefield sorcery that increases in power. All manner of spells and items dormant for decades suddenly crackle into vibrant life, eager to have their power unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Chief among these are Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding; each scroll was crafted with a particular beast in mind. These came from the Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum, in the chart in that book it listed each monster for each faction as either Abhorrent, Binding Scroll or Kinship, these monsters here are all but those that are Abhorrent to this faction. The Scrolls of Binding that may be used vary from race to race, the following are those that may be used by this faction:

    Binding Scrolls
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Arachnarok Spider = Those Man-sized victims are often wrapped into web-casings within the spider's lair, where they would begin to dissolve within a matter of hours by the highly corrosive spider venom, until the victim turns into a protein-rich puddle from which these Spiders can easily drink from. Despite its immense bulk, Arachnarok Spiders are relatively efficient solitary hunters, able to move silently through dense wilderness and ensnare their unsuspecting prey with webs as thick as an Orcs muscular arm.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...chnarok_Spider

Basilisk = The most potent weapon in the Basilisk’s arsenal is their deadly gaze. Renowned in folklore across the Old World for its lethal nature, the Basilisks’ sickly pale eyes are able to focus the destructive potential of their poisonous soul, withering their prey until its skin and flesh slough away.
    https://www.fichier-pdf.fr/2012/11/0...eview/page/43/

Carmine Dragon = Carmine, or Encarmine Dragons, are a corrupted variant of the Dragon race known famously for its dark crimson colour as a result of an over-exposure to "Death Magic". Contrary to popular belief, Carmine Dragons are actually not a separate sub-species of Dragons, rather these Dragons are born this way when a Dragon egg has become saturated by Shyish, the Wind of Death. When the unborn dragon is exposed to this, the death magic is gathered and magnified within the heart and soul of the dragon once it is born.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Carmine_Dragon

Emperor Carmine Dragon = Same as above but far more powerful and can cast spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Carmine_Dragon

Cave Spiders = Warped by chaos, these horrors have bloated to twice the size of Giant Spiders and are often barely able to squeeze themselves through passages. Their massive grey bodies almost blend into the cavern walls making them difficult to see and they move quickly using their powerful legs, in spite of their size. Monstrous Arcanum lists spiders as a 'Kinship' monster to the Beastmen.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cave_Spider

Chimaera = The three-headed Chimerae is one of the most fearsome of all Children of Chaos, a beast whose progenitors were so warped that it is now impossible to say what manner of creatures they might once have been. Chimerae are more susceptible than most monsters to the twisting power of Chaos. The heads of some breathe fire in the manner of Dragons, whilst other heads sprout razor-sharp fangs or jaws that drip with a poisonous slime.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chimerae

Cockatrice = The Cockatrice is a repulsive Chaos-influenced beast with sorcerous capabilities. While this curious creature has very fast reactions and a great number of claws, it is not very strong, martially skilled or even particularly resistant to damage. However, the sorcerous capabilities of this monster allow it simply turn the assailants into stone with a simple stare. Enemies should not ever look it in the eye if they hope to emerge victorious. Even if they manage to wound the agile beast, it is likely that it will simply fly away, prefering to live long then die hard. According to Monstrous Arcanum it has 'kinship' with the Beastmen.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum
    http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Cockatrice

Dark Emissary = A Dark Emissary is a former Truthsayer, a sorcerer from the isle of Albion, that uses a specific strand of Chaos Magic, granted to them by their lord and master, the Daemon Prince Be’lakor. They can raise Fenbeasts.
    http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Emissary
    http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Fenbeast

Dracholeech = The creatures are serpentine in form, between twenty and thirty feet long and about four feet across. Their skin is rubbery, slimy, and rotten, and there are no bones within. For mouths, they have circles of teeth, constantly pulsing, that can swallow a child or halfling in one gulp. Their preferred mode of attack is to come up under a boat, tipping any passengers and crew into the water where they can be chewed at leisure. They can also jump onto a small boat, smashing it, but they cannot stay out of the water for long.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dracoleech

Dread Maw = With their circular mouths, studded with rows of sickle-shaped teeth, Dread Maws can seize and devour a fully armoured man in seconds. Often, smaller prey is swallowed whole, but even the largest creatures will fall foul of the Dread Maw's ravenous appetite. Bursting forth from beneath the ground and latching on with their hooked teeth, they can tear their way inside the greatest of beasts, eviscerating them from within and quickly hollowing out their ruptured carcass.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-IE/Dread-Maw

Focus Familiars = An impish familiar accompanying the Sorceress, through which she can direct her powers. This allows her to target enemies further away and out of sight.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Focus_Familiar

Giant = Once a Giant has cleaned up all the available food within a region, Giants would move on to find more fertile and unspoiled lands, often leaving behind the bones and husk of many ruined villages in his wake.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Giant

Giant Spiders = The same ones the forest goblins ride.

Hellsteeds = A Hellsteed's wings are bat-like and broad of span, tipped with talons. Some Hellsteeds have no skin, their exposed tendons and muscles stretching and bunching as they power through the air on powerful pinions. Hellsteeds often have manes and tails of flame, matching the fires that burn in their eye sockets.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Hellsteeds

Lammasu = The Lammasu has the body of a gigantic bull, a powerful mace-tipped tail and a massive, ugly head. The Chaos Dwarfs believe that the Lammasu is a rare mutation of the Great Taurus, a creature whose forbears were once Chaos Dwarfs, but which has become twisted by the powers of Chaos into a huge bull-shaped monster.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Lammasu
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/223190146/Citadel-Journal-19

Magma Dragon = Primordial and ferocious creatures, Magma Dragons are known famously for their extremely thick obsidian scales which radiates a constant glow of white-hot heat. What they lack in numbers, they make up with juggernaut strength and the ability to hunt down some of the largest predators to roam the land.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magma_Dragon

Young Magma Dragon = Young, inexperienced and smaller Magma Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magma_Dragon

Great Magma Dragon = Larger, more dangerous Magma Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magma_Dragon

Emperor Magma Dragon = Immensely powerful Magma Dragons that are capable of casting spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magma_Dragon

Manticore = Manticores are huge, leonine beasts that soar on leathery wings. They are amongst the most powerful of all the predators that live in the north’s mountain ranges.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Manticore

Mourngul = Dreadful tales are told around huddled fires of those lost in the killing cold of a mountain winter, driven by famine and pain to hunt their own companions and former friends for their meat and the warmth of their blood. There is no salvation for these damned souls, for the horrors in which they indulge cannot save them and they become things neither dead nor alive, condemned to an eternity of empty hunger and terrible isolation.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Mourngul

Power Familiars = A Power Familiar is a familiar that attracts magic power to its owner, who cannot be one of the Blood Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Familiar

Spell Familiars = A Spell Familiar is a familiar that memorises spells on its master's behalf, offering its master a better choice of deadly spells to unleash in battle. It is never used by a Blood Dragon Vampire.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_Familiar

Warpfire Dragon = Spite-filled and ruinous creatures, they delight in destroying and mutilating their foes with blasts of Warpfire exhaled from the burning morass of ruinous energies that seethe within their bodies, the mere proximity to which can kill. Even in death are these mutated creatures deadly as their demise brings about a raging blast of unleashed fire to scorch the land around them.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-IE/Warpfire-Dragon

Young Warpfire Dragon = Younger, less powerful versions of the Warpfire Dragon.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-IE/Warpfire-Dragon

Great Warpfire Dragon = Older, more powerful versions of the Warpfire Dragon.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-IE/Warpfire-Dragon

Warrior Familiars = A Warrior Familiar is a familiar that accompanies its master and fights to protect him. This magical bodyguard usually takes the form of a diminutive warrior or a tiny monstrous creature.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Warrior_Familiar

    Kinship
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Desert Spirits = The Magicians of Araby can command these Djinn to engulf their foes in a swirling cloud of choking sand and dust.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Djinn = This is the generic name given by Arabian magicians to many different kinds of elemental spirits, which can be imprisoned within magical jars and bound to do a sorcerer's bidding. When one of these jars is shattered, spirits inside will manifest, billowing and spilling out of the broken jar to coalesce into a mighty elemental spirit hundreds of feet tall.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Dragon = There are many different variants of the dragon species.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon

Young Dragon = Young dragons aren’t as powerful as older dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon

Great Dragon = These are a lot more experienced and powerful than your standard dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon

Emperor Dragon = Indeed, the only recorded occasions on which Emperor Dragons have seen defeat have been when many thousands of foes have been arrayed against them, or some sorcerous trickery was employed. If few warriors can be counted on to defeat an Emperor Dragon, there are still fewer individuals capable of taming one. Even the famed Dragon Riders of Caledor were never able to tame the oldest and greatest of the Emperor Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor_Dragon

    Elephants = It’s an elephant.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Elephants

Fire Efreets = Those vessels that contain powdered sulphur and dried naptha may be ignited with a spark to release a gigantic Fire Efreet. A Fire Efreet is a creature of savage delight that cackles as it hurtles through the air; searing the decks of enemy ships and setting aflame their crew as it shouts curses that sound for all the world like the spit-crack of raw fresh melting on open fire. The blood of one of these spirits was used to temper the blade of the Hellfire Sword, which was forged from a single flame that was hammered into material form.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Khemric Titans = While there are those who scoff at stories of scarabs the size of fortress keeps raising up wrathful sandstorms against all who intrude upon the lands of Khemri, there are those few beyond the Lands of the Dead who know that a terrible truth lies behind them. Known to the loremasters of Tilea and the Empire as Khemric Titans, these arcane constructs of stone and onyx, bejewlled and enamelled with the wealth of a bygone age, tower above even the dreaded Necrosphinx.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Royal Djinn = Only three of these are rumoured to exist, and are kept within jewelled and gilded Great Urns in the hidden rooms under the decks of the Flaming Scimitar of the Golden Magus. Each urn has an intricate spiral of skulls winding around its outside, crested by one of the three symbols that represent the elements ascendant over the forces of darkness. They are said to have once belonged to the Great Necromancer Nagash himself, and that each contains a spirit powerful enough to eclipse the sun. The Golden Magus will not say a single word on the matter. Perhaps even the redoubtable Sultan of the Seas is afraid to open them...
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Sea-Nymphs = Those magical jars that are filled with sparkling seawater contain the essence of Sea-nymphs - or Salt Devils as they are known to the pirates of Sartosa - who can freeze solid around seabound foes or seal a hole in their master’s warship with living ice. Though they took the form of lissom wenches, the Sea-nymphs are perhaps the most inhuman of all the djinn spirits, and delight in dragging those struggling to tread water so deep into the sea that their fragile human bodies crumple in upon themselves under the pressures of the abyss.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Tempest Djinn = The jars that contain a portion of each of the four winds will shatter into dust when the whispered word of their owner falls upon them, releasing Tempest Djinns that funnel their hurricane breath into the sails of ships. These storm-born spirits are capricious as zephyrs in temperament, but their raw might is that of a tornado, and they can pull even the most fearsome winds unto themselves like a shroud.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Djinn

Zombie Dragon = Animated by Dark Magic, a Zombie Dragon is borne aloft by great tattered wings, its body covered with thick, withered hide. Though in life it once breathed fire capable of melting steel, a Zombie Dragon can only belch forth a cloud of pestilent gas which strips flesh from bones and corrodes armour.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Dawnstar Sword = ”Legend goes that this blade was forged in the first rays of light to strike the world. The energy of this auspicious enchantment remains embedded deep within the burnished blade, waiting to be called forth once more in a blaze of glory.”

Blade of Last Resort = ”This sword has ever had a twisted sense of humour, seeking out overmatched heroes and aiding them against a chosen foe. However, the Blade of Last Resort draws its strength from a victor’s glorious lifeblood; those that best an opponent with its aid themselves have scant moments to live.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Dodecahedron of Continental Drift = ”Said to have been left behind by the Old Ones, this peculiar object can be used to remake the world. Each alteration to the Dodecahedron’s external matrix is reflected on the land around the user. Its ill-considered use can easily prove catastrophic…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Fozzrik’s Floating Fortress = ”Though Fozzrik’s magical aptitude led him to become a wizard, he never lost his love for architecture. Many of the Old World’s cities have been built around immaculate structures that Fozzrik created from stone and sorcery, but more prized by far are his floating fortresses - buildings that move under their own power and sprout defences to repel intruders.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Woodwaker’s Wand = ”Once upon a time, all the woods in the world were linked. Some say this great forest was alive, in a curious sort of way, and that every tree that now grows retains a portion of its vigour and intelligence just waiting to be revived.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Living Deadwood Staff = ”Arboreonecromancy is a little-practiced branch of wizardry - any mystic crazed enough to attempt it normally transfers his attentions back to raising zombies and skeletons, rather than undead trees. However, legends tell of the Archmage Sycamo, ‘The Daemon Carpenter of Estalia’, who not only perfected a method of reanimating trees from their residual elements, but also filling them with astounding vigour. Much of Sycamo’s work has, fortunately, been lost to the intervening aeons, but the Living Deadwood Staff never stays missing for long…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Giantkin Helm = ”After constantly being told ‘We expect big things from you’ by his Elector Count father, Heinrich von Roth spent much of the family fortune commissioning an artefact that would help him achieve greatness. Alas, he was to learn that when dealing with wizards, precision of diction is just as important as largesse of payment.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Windcatcher Prism = ”This peculiar bauble was crafted long ago, its purpose very much tied to storms of magic. Once a particular Wind of Magic rises to a certain cataclysmic level, the Windcatcher Prism absorbs and rechannels a portion of its power, bestowing the bearer - and his immediate allies - with an avataric aspect of the ascendant Wind of Magic.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Paranoth’s Piquet Fence = ”Paranoth was a famous travelling mage, who trod every road ‘twixt Cathay and Naggarond. Naturally, only a particularly foolish wizard would journey such roads without defences, so Paranoth wove himself a sorcerous fence to defend his encampments whilst he and his companions slept.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Rockcharmer’s Flute = ”Androgast Gildheim was the first man in the Empire to master this granite flute, but its origins lie hidden in the mists of time. Some say that the Rockcharmer’s Flute was used to destroy the old Dwarfen realms, others that it sank the fabled realm of Seidon. However, the most popular tale concerns a drunken Halfling, the Rockcharmer’s Flute, a jug of lamp oil, a plate of sausages and the accidental creation of the Grey Mountains.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Wyssan’s Weighted Dice = ”This set of weighted dice is one amongst many forged by Arctovian Wyssan over the course of a long and (unsurprisingly) successful wagering career. At the bearer’s command, these skull-marked cubes play havoc with the laws of causality; turning certainty into bleak misfortune.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Arabyan Puzzlebox = ”This elegantly crafted container houses many hundreds of glittering gemstones, each with the power to harness the Winds of Magic if used in the correct manner. Alas, the user can never truly be sure that the compartment he has opened will contain the gems he needed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Black Book of Ibn Naggazar = ”Ibn Naggazar was a brilliant, if somewhat maniacal, Arabyan sorcerer. Whilst it is unknown whether his madness sprang from isolation, too many attempts at creating intoxicating ‘elixirs’ or the honeyed promises of whispering Daemons, there can be no doubt that he was utterly insane. No rational wizard would create a book inked on the skin of his closest family, much less constantly follow its advice.”

Lore Information Regarding the Tomb Kings

When a series is being continuously updated for a quarter of a century there is bound to be a massive amount of lore that has been created for it. This is an attempt to collate important snippets of lore that I have found during my research into units. I am presenting these in note form rather than in quote form due to the sheer amount of information that is potentially able to be displayed here, but I hope that it will prove useful or interesting to you regardless.

    General Information
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - The undead of Khemri are doomed to eternal conflict, unable to finally rest, as those destroyed one day are risen again.
    - They cannot know fear.

    - The ancient kings of Nehekhara are wealthy beyond imagining

    - Ancient Nehekharans practiced “star-magic” to travel, probably means Heavens magic

    - Giant Scorpions dwell in the jungles of Lustria and other hot places of the world.

    - In the deserts of Khemri, ancient Liche Priests raise mighty armies of undead warriors for their mummified kings. In these cursed domains the dead do not rest easily
    - Sometimes a greenskin horde will make their way to these realms for slaughter and plunder, but none have ever returned alive
    - Once they’ve been beaten in battle, the Liche Priest will raise the goblinoids to serve new masters
    - Unlike dwarfs, elves and humans, undead goblins retain a spark of their mischievous spirit and still bicker like children
    - Often they will find their way back to other greenskins, who call them Dust Goblins

    - Settra’s spies, living and dead, are legion. Their reports now speak of opportunity, for anarchy has been loosed upon the Old World.
    - The Tomb Kings do not care for the motivations of the living — provided they can be turned to their advantage.
    - Over the centuries, adventurers from distant lands have stolen much from Settra's domain.
    - Powerful artefacts, thousands of years old, languish in wizard's vaults or as curios for the nobility of the Empire and Bretonnia.
    - Even dormant servitors and counselors have been taken, their undying bodies seized whilst sealed in their golden caskets.
    - These trespasses have long dwelt on Settra's mind. Now the time for revenge is nigh.

    - The Bretonnian city of Brionne was the first city to feel Settra's wrath during the Nemesis War, its defenders the victims of the Tomb King's terrible efficiency.
    - The coastal towns of L'Anguille, Bestarne and Guildarie swiftly suffered similar fates.
    - In each case the loss of life and damage was mercifully slight, for the attackers were single-minded in their goals.
    - They made no attempt to raze the towns or slaughter the inhabitants, and returned to their ships once their prize had been reclaimed.

    - In each case the loss of life and damage was mercifully slight, for the attackers were single-minded in their goals.
    - They made no attempt to raze the towns or slaughter the inhabitants, and returned to their ships once their prize had been reclaimed.
