    I was wondering how are you going to mod the religions in it?

    If you browse the forums I think you'll find they're replacing the religious system with a political one.

    Yep the religions in BI have been converted into political systems religion itself will work, for the most part, as it does in Rome i.e. you build temples to gods to increase happiness and other bonus

    We've got lots of work in progress for just the campaign buildings (battlemap buildings a bit less) at the moment- the basic range goes between keeping religion to a minimum (far less than RTW) and making religion even more important than in the original. In the expanded system patron gods would be one per city but the other more general gods would be unrestricted and each patron would have associated heroes and lesser deities you would need the parent patron temple chains to build and upgrade. For cities with more specific, unique heroes and local deities they will start the game with them (these buildings will be unbuildable to avoid all the additional building chains they would take up).
