    Default Towton Army Compositions

    Yorkist Army (20k)
    500 Knights
    1,000 Men-at-Arms
    2,000 Yeomen Longbowmen
    3,500 Heavy Footmen
    5,500 Militia Longbowmen
    7,500 Light Footmen

    Norfolk’s Reinforcements (5k) (Yorkist)
    500 Men-at-Arms
    1,500 Light Footmen
    2,000 Militia Longbowmen
    1,000 Yeomen Longbowmen

    Lancastrian Army (25k)
    1,000 Knights
    1,500 Men-at-Arms
    3,000 Yeomen Longbowmen
    5,500 Heavy Footmen
    6,000 Militia Longbowmen
    8,000 Light Footmen

    =================

Alright so I figured that Lancastrians would have more knights because of the higher presence of nobles in their ranks. Historically, at Towton, Lancastrians had 19 nobles compared to Yorkists 9.

The reinforcements from Norfolk are gonna be Yorkist no matter what the conditions and will appear after a set number of turns, which has yet to be decided.

Does everyone like the compositions I made for both armies? Any suggestions for changes?

Didn't had the Lancastrians had more men historically? Although i suppose we are balancing this because to make it more fair.

I mean, at the start, you guys do outnumber the Yorkists. Norfolk's reinforcements are what make the difference between defeat or victory. But yeah, for balancing purposes, I made it 25 v 25.

Oh be aware that these armies vanish after Towton. These are just scripted troops.

Well personally i would add 1000-2000 extra troops to the Lancastrians because historically they did outnumber their opponents even despite Norfolks reinforcements, and on the other hand it wouldn't really balance the favor to the Lancastrians decisively, so the battle would still be based on tactics rather than numbers.

    But that's just me

I believe Barry plans on running units as composed 1k each for Towton, so you may want to adjust the numbers so that works

Revised numbers due to units being updated to 1,000 instead of 300.

    5 units of militia longbowmen
    3 units of heavy footmen
    8 units of light footmen

    Yorkist Reinforcments
    1 unit of men-at-arms
    1 unit of yeomen longbowmen

    1 unit of light footmen

    Lancastrian
    1 unit of knights
