{DIK} Battle Beta?

Dear TIW Fellows!

The team is very eager to know, if you are interested in a pre-release of TIW-Ultimate?This pre-release we are talking about would be a Battle Beta, similar to the one we already published for our release of version 4.0.

Yes, only if we don't have to wait to much for the campaign map!

Well, all units are finished and I am currently setting up their stats.
Next step will be to implement all strat map characters like priest, spies, merchants,.. for the new factions.
After that comes the coding of traits and ancs. Since we have a bunch of new ideas that will take us some time,
though the last part will be scripting all events and adjusting the old ones to the new map.
Last but not least and also the biggest part will be the testing

I am sure we'll need a bunch of people to do that so stay tuned

I'm going to be a party-pooper and vote "no." However, I do so with some reservations. First of all, I don't think my opinion should matter much at all, because the team must do what it feels is best for the mod. Secondly, a battle beta might provide useful feedback from players (being a beta and all); it certainly worked for version 4.0. I'm simply voting no because I'd like to see all the great modding energy go toward implementing the campaign, because that is my favourite part of any mod, and because I am selfish that way.

Well, as for the amount of energy

To create the battle beta will be copy paste, deleting the menu option 'campaign' and then just set up a new installer

I actually agree with Cyprian, but that is just my personal opinion, as I also favour the campaign

It is funny because we have quite the same situation on ModDB some say yes while others say no

I say yes, because your units are beautiful and why not iron out as many bugs as we can pre-release?

We have a very interesting result, but a clear one.
A Battle Beta will be released, the exact date will be announced in a couple of days, so please stay tuned
