Here is my modified export_descr_unit.txt
In it I doubled the cost of almost all ships so that the AI builds less of them, and is less likely to use them for Naval invasions.
I realize this might be more of a "mod" but thought for the sort term it might be more appropiate for here since there is an active discussion on naval invasions.
There are some very minor tweaks (no more than 1 or 2 points here and there) to unit stats to... check out archers and crusading orders in a custom battle... you'll see the changes are minor, yet make the variety actually matter.
