quick general mod question

I was wondering if i could find an answer which will help everyone out who does gets confused with installing mods.

Do we need too unpack the modding tool before we use the mods? im unpacking it via the bat. not the exe. Im doing this because i think i had too too install the shaba's diplomacy mod afterwords.

If that is not correct, could someone tell me specifically what needs to be done?

No, you do not need to unpack files to install mods, thats for the modders.

then i dont know how too install some mods even if i do what the readme instructions say. the diplomacy mod makes a data folder in the data folder with the three files, and the ai formations mod does not work too how the instructions give. if i unpack the files, then both of them work. thats why i asked.

oh you mean unpack the mod files, then yes, you have to unpack it with Winrar, then you can make a modswitch folder so you dont have to install/uninstall or make a copy of 11 GB game
