What your vault should look like

Some rules.

1. All characters must have their own vaults. You may not pool incomes under any circumstances.

2. All figures must be clearly labelled. For example:

BAD:

-30,000
-12,000
+9,000
+70,000
= +37,000

GOOD:

Incomes:

70,000 Land Income
9,000 Trade

Expenses:

30,000 Buildings
12,000 Hiring Soldiers

Total: 37,000 Dragons

3. Vaults that are difficult to read or understand will be discriminated against if there's ever any doubt as to your finances. Clear information will ensure anything we ever have reason to look up will be easily found and understood. If the Mods cannot make sense of your vault and suspect foul play, deliberate or accidental, penalties will be applied and will not be removed until your vault is understandable.

The following format is the one that I, LM, use for my own vault. It is beyond what is required or expected for a player to do his or her vault but it does a nice job in providing an explanation for every figure and makes it difficult for a mod to question your numbers or where did you get them from (unless you make a mistake in your calculation of course). Feel free to use it for your own vault (remove the dash in the middle of content and box).
