Finally I get a chance to get my sign ups done. Been a bloody hectic day.
This is why I hope for a Lancastrian victory; there is a line already being drawn between Exeter and Beaufort. Lancastrian regime is the most fertile ground for court intrigue.
Heck, as Northumberland, in post-Towton and under a Lancastrian regime, I could easily triple the size of my lands.
- Percys hold extensive land in Yorkshire and Cumberland, so he could easily ask to extend his hold into Cumberland which holds a traditional Percy Honour, Baron Egremont.
- Through his lineage, Henry Percy has a Mortimer claim through his grandfather, Henry Hotspurs, who married the daughter of the 3rd Earl of March. Thus he could press claims on Ulster and March.
I may lose as Warwick, but could easily regain that influence as Percy!

Well, if Elizabeth Woodville enters the picture, York may start looking a lot more zesty
It is an interesting role, though I wouldn't use the word insanity to describe what Henry VI is suffered from. Insanity, madness and crazy are used to describe most mental disorders, which vary greatly in causes, mechanisms and symptoms. According to modern authorities who have evaluated the king, he likely suffered from a type of schizphrenia as he showed many symptoms of it, like hallucinations. Schizophrenia is a very interesting mental disorder, as it makes it harder to distinguish reality and fantasy from each other, amongst other symptoms (though not split personality).
It really makes you pity Henry VI, a man who was clearly not made for his position in life nor the time. Had he been born today a lot of his problems and symptoms would have been treated with the right medication. Instead he was thrown around by his nobles like a ragdoll for their own purposes. I don't think Henry V living longer to actually raise his son would have changed much because of his frail mental stability and weak will to rule. It's no surprise his house wasn't able to keep him on the throne. When you build you structure around a man clearly not suited for being the foundation, the cracks show quickly.
Actually, it seems Henry had more land than that
On 3 July, he was granted Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Cambridgeshire, all belonging to Salisbury, on a twelve-year lease.
So that's 6 additional land holdings and probably quite a few titles too. I am excited either way for Warwick or Percy to see where they go!

I'm looking forwards to get Desmond signed up. I've got some good plans for him - both during the war and for Ireland after.
Everyone's excited![]()
I've taken inspiration by how he's portrayed in Conn Igggulden's novel series about the War of the Roses. He is like a child when he's in this kind of mental state, with no clue about what goes on around him. Even if he wakes up, don't expect a strong king who takes charge.
Also, that picture is of Henry VI from the Hollow Crown tv-series.
Been there and done that. Insane kings are fun.
