Updated to Windows 10 and can't load game

Just as the title says, updated to Windows 10 after not wanting to for months, and now I can't load M2TW on Steam. It crashes without loading anything, just adjusting resolution, and tells me it encountered a fatal error and needs to close. I uninstalled SS 6.4 using the uninstaller and deleted my SS 6.4 folder the mods folder. Then used CCleaner for the registry. No dice. Then uninstalled M2TW and reinstalled and still nothing. Same error.

Did I change some file during installation I'm forgetting about? I have no idea what to do and the damn Moors are at my doorstep.

Unfortunately, I have not heard of Windows 10 affecting Steam versions of M2TW, and I don't use Steam personally.

Are you able to play other Steam games?

I have got win10, and re-installed steam after some time, then installed M2TW - no problem here.

Are you playing the main game or a mod?
