    Default Please Help! "Unspecified Error"

I am playing the English and am at 1267 and every time I end a turn the game crashed when it gets to the Danes and I get the error message "Medieval Total War has encountered an unspecified error and was closed".

It happens every time on this turn when it reached the dane's turn. I have tried restarting and moving pieces but no good.

Am I going to need to restart from my last saved game (apart from 1267 I have one in the 1240's, that would suck.

It could be your savegame is corrupted, I fear.

Try to cancel all constructions of buildings and recruitments and try to end the turn again. It worked for me this one time. You might be lucky.

If anyone happens to know what may be causing this, I am runnung lands to conquer on the patch. I got past the first "unspecified error" but now it is happening about every 10 years.

    Can anyone help me?

I tried the fix, though I had not unpacked.
I think my save files have gone bad and I will have to make due with playng older saved games...

Unless there is another cause for the unspecified error message?

I am now getting constant unspecified errors in my English campaign while moving units or performing agent actions on the map, but only as of today (Sunday). I patched Friday and have been playing without problem until earlier this afternoon.

I have too, I played for over a hundred turns and now, out of the blue, I get these messages. I dont understand it.

My game just started crashing a lot too. I'm running the fully patched Medieval with Kingdoms and the Lands to Conquer mod. Everything was fine until today... Loaded up my save from last session, done some normal stuff, ended the turn - and right before my next one I got the unspecified error window and crash. I reloaded the game, wanted to load the last autosave - this time the game crashed during loading. The same with the quicksave. My main save worked though, so I replayed the turn from it, ended the turn (no quicksaving this time) and the same scenario as earlier occured, only now my main save also didn't load after Medieval's restart.
Checking randomly things out, I've started a random campaign from scratch and from there tried to load up my saves - and they worked! What's more, this time the turn ended succesfully. So I played the next turn, lost a battle in a stupid way, loaded my quicksave... and got the unspecified error and crash while loading. This time restarting and loading from a random fresh campaign also didn't help, though I tried it only once this time. Even if it would work, such a manner of playing the game would be nothing less than frustrating...

I've attached my system log file, hope it helps. As for other information, I've got a WinXP SP3 and haven't done anything significant on the machine recently BESIDES fighting a losing battle installing the .NET framework and some SQL stuff last night.

    19:21:33.063 [script.err] [error] Script Error in landstoconquer/data/world/maps/campaign/custom/a_early_campaign/descr_strat.txt, at line 4367, column 57
problem with faction relationship, probably an incorrect faction string
This error might not be fatal, but should be worthwhile following up

    19:20:45.750 [script.err] [error] Script Error in landstoconquer/data/export_descr_buildings.txt, at line 521, column 158
unit(NE Late Bodyguard) does not match up to the ownership for faction(normans)
    19:20:45.750 [script.err] [error] Script Error in landstoconquer/data/export_descr_buildings.txt, at line 591, column 158
unit(NE Late Bodyguard) does not match up to the ownership for faction(normans)
These two are non fatal as well, again why not fix it?

Knowing whose mod it is , why not go to the Mod Shop forum and learn how?
