Default How is the balancing? Is it better than Attila's?

    Hey guys,

I mostly play TW for the MP and would like to know how the balancing is in this mod. I didn't like to play Attila because it lacked diversity and good balancing. Is there any considerable amount of effort put into balancing or is this mainly aimed at SPs?

i think its mainly SP,none divercity to the stats, none balance to elite inf, none balance to cav..etc.To me its even more unbalanced than atilla.
Maybe it will improve in time but for now the balance is rly bad.

It can also be directed towards multiplayer. We're still in the unit creation process, and my team is still figuring out how we want the gameplay to work.

I understand. It would be really nice to have good balancing. It would significantly improve the longevity of the mod especially as the last TWs were really weak in that regard. And the MP gets way more attention on Youtube, too. That might help raise awareness for the mod. Though with that many factions it might be quite difficult to balance.

Definitively better than the MP balance nightmare that was Attila. Still there are some stuff that needs some attention. The mod is not even created fully yet.

Please don't go too crazy in the name of "Balance"... This isn't a sport, it's war. "Fair" doesn't enter into it.

I'd be much happier with "realistic" than with "balanced".

Who is going crazy? This isn't war nor a war simulation. This is a video game which for the time being can only be played in MP. So we can just as well make it enjoyable and longer lasting. If realism is so important to you I'm surprised you're playing TW. TW games are anything but realistic.
Also you and I have no idea about what's realistic on medieval battlefields. Unless you have taken part in one the only thing we can be certain of is that there were no flying pigs (well, except as artillery ammunition maybe). The dynamics of a medieval battles we can only imagine. Besides balancing adjustments for MP are very minor. They don't change the "realism" and general gameplay. They don't even get noticed by most people who don't play the MP a lot. So your worries are really unfounded.

Well right now it's too ez to exploit mod's battle mechanics,i got 100 hours in MK multi and I have lost only 2-3 battles,so this is removing the fun from the mod at least for me

Either I'm doing something terribly wrong or Foot Men at Arms are IMMENSELY overpowered. They eat any infantry unit for breakfast and that's an understatement. They can beat more than eight Foot Knightly Retinues one on one. Here is a test against the AI (me playing England and sending one unit at a time) and the Foot Men at Arms weren't event half finished:

The same happened to me in MP. And they are almost the same price considering that the Foot Knightly Retinues only have 120 men compared to 160 (btw why are FTR of the king more expensive but have the same stats?). The low amount of men makes FTR also weaker than serjeants.

It'll be fixed in the upcoming hot fix. The pole arm weapon itself grants the unit an unaffected by armour extra 22 something damage to infantry. I have the bonus damage reduced to 0. The unit will still deal some heavy damage, but it won't be ridiculous.
