Crashing during battles

i have recently just installed Stainless Steel mod and all was going well until my first battle arrived and the game crashed mid flow. Thinking nothing of it i rebooted and redid said battle with no issues and continued on my way... until the next battle and the same thing happened. I have Googled and searched high and low in these forums and cant find anything to help resolve this issue. is it just bad luck or is it something that needs looking into.

any help is appreciated.

It migth be due to several reasons.

Update SS config file (name default.cfg if I remember correctly) as follow:

[log]
 to = logs/system.log.txt
 level=*script* trace

Play until the ctd happens again.
Post your log here (as attached file).

That should help to find out.
