Raiding stance
Im not sure if it is the case in Attila but in Rome2 you could starve faction with raiding without waging war and then when every soldier is dead and the garrisons are empty you Just had to walk in and take over cities. Will you deal somehow with this? I think that auto war waging would be the Best as this would also stop those situations when the AI Just walks into your territory and starts raiding you and you have to wage war to get rid of gim.

Hmmm, I'm not sure how me would appear from maybe making it so the faction will go to war with you if you do

Yes, that would be the Best. Could you maybe try to make this stance trigger the same pop up when you attaCK city? It tells you that attacking their assets means declaring war.it should work the same way with changing stance to raiding in foreign territory. It should first ask if you want to wage war.
