...you realize that your headphones have turned into a La Tene Celtic Waterloo-style helmet and the necklace you had on has transformed into a torc.

...you look down and realize that your body is littered in phalerae disks and your headphones have transformed into a grass crown, the corona obsidionalis.

...when you realize that you're going to mess up your exams because you just have to fight that siege defense. And then a field battle. After that, take a city. Maybe another field battle.

You know that you've been playing too much EB II when you check your watch and realize that you've been playing for four hours in a row (that's my all time record).

I'm not a kid anymore, though. Who has time to play all day? Four hours out of the day for an average adult is a huge amount of one's recreational time, basically more than half of it.

I am 25 year old with a job and little sleep. I played eb this WHOLE weekend.
It made me realize that ı am getting old. Back in late 2000s, ı d play for day without leaving the house....

At least ı practiced 4 different instruments inbetween turns and listened to a lot of podcasts to make that time more useful. I miss being a young gamer.

"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

Besides, the idea of nation states destroys any attempt to establish a multicultural, continent(s) sprawling universal empire. I therefore stick to anarcho-syndicalism.

... when you complain that there are no history lessons at school about EB's time frame aside from an abridged version of the Punic wars and the end of the Roman republic.

When you are sad that people arent pagan anymore.
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

    -Plutarch, life of Demetrius.
