Lord Cedrik is an old man, once imposing he is now stout and pot-bellied. He married thrice, firstly to Lady Eddara Tallhart, secondly to Lady Leona Woolfield and thirdly to Lady Maegelle Umber (current Lady Cerwyn), producing offspring with all of them. His firstborn son, Creighton, was a drooling fool (so-called the Dumb) who managed to survive all the way to adulthood to be kicked to death by a mule. Unexpectedly, he managed to father a daughter with his wife, Lady Donella Stout. However, and considering how quickly she remarried to his brother, Cregon Cerwyn, many suspect she’s in fact a bastard. The girl is as pretty as his supposed father plain.
Cregan, first son born from Lady Leona, was his father preferred heir: daring, bold, quick-in-laugh, dauntless in battle and in bed. Surprisingly, Cregan fell in love with Lady Serra Karstark, his wife and fathered two children in a surprisingly short time. Lady Serra was a common sight on Winterfell, one fateful evening, riding back from Winterfell she was raped and killed by common brigands. Cregan mercilessly flayed the murderers and joined the Night’s Watch afterwards, leaving behind his son, Cedrik the Young, as his father’s heir.
Next in line come the twins, Cregon and Cressen, once so alike that no-one could set them apart as kids. They often played to change their names and roles, confusing their parents and servants alike. His father suspects even they were so confused that the twins mistook their own identities and thus Cregon is Cressen and Cressen is Cregon. No-one can possibly know, for Lady Leona, their mother, died. The twins are a pair of wastrels, being also envious, ruthless, wrathful and lustful. However, where one is cunning, the other is charming, but they’re pretty much alike. Still, one day Cressen’s hairline started receding, to his dismay, earning him to be dubbed Thin-Hair; previously he couldn’t truly be set apart from his twin. Cressen married Jonella Forrester and has three sons, one of whom died of a cold and the third was born sadly disfigured. The eldest, Brandon, on the other hand, might be the brightest and most promising of Lord Cerwyn’s grandchildren.
Their younger brother, Colmar, is a colossal man, a lad so big that he has to bow before entering Cerwyn’s med hall. His father mocked and nicknamed him the Walker, for he truly cannot ride a horse for a long period of time; there isn’t a horse capable of enduring his phenomenal weight for long. The cruellest of Cedrik’s children, he killed his own wife, when she was found in bed with one of his twin brothers, who is to blame isn’t known but Lord Cerwyn strictly forbid kinslaying under his roof. Not very bright, Colmar swore to kill them both.
Finally, by Lady Maegelle, Lord Cerwyn fathered Maege Cerwyn. His only daughter is a woman to be reckoned with, not only is a fearless and some of her kin, but also is quite ambitious, ruthless and voracious. She chose to marry her cousin, for he was dashingly handsome, but didn’t mourn his early death. Secondly, he managed to marry Errold Stark and exhausting him in bed fathered two children, Jorelle and Jon Stark in a short time. She’s tall like a man, but as pretty as you might expect a woman to be, being as graceful in the hall as in battle.
With so many Cerwyns populating his keep, an oblivious Lord Cedrik is always terribly confused about who-is-who. They certainly look much alike. House Cerwyn rules from Castle Cerwyn, a seat so close to Winterfell that they often visit House Stark.
