Having settled the accounts of White Harbour, Karl Manderly makes his way to Barrowton, the seat of House Dustin. It has been a long time since his meeting with Lord Stark, and his liege's agreement to the proposition of a standing fleet on the western waters of the North's coastline. Accompanied by what seems to be a stream of learned men, craftsmen and knights, Lord Manderly requests a meeting. His intentions are simple: carve out a sufficient lordship at the mouth of the Barrowtide to allow for the construction of a port capable of not only increasing trade between the North and the ports on the Sunset Sea shoreline of Westeros, but also of housing a fleet capable of granting House Stark mastery over the waters.
He hopes that his leading role in such an en-devour would see his House well rewarded by a gracious Stark, doubly so if such fortitude would see his Paramouncy rule themselves in name as well as truth. Maybe, just maybe, his Harold would be granted the command. That would be a fitting place for him, far away from the weak court of Lady Manderly and Karl's wet son. Yet, that was in the future.
"Lord Dustin, it is good to see that your lands haven't gone to wasteland since we returned to peace."
