Can't recruit Teutonic Knights as HRE

Hi all,

I'm playing SS6.4 late campaign as the HRE. I built a Teutonic Knights' Minor Chapter House in Hamburg early on. The description said I could recruit Teutonic Knights with it (or was it Ritterbruder? I forget). However, the next turn, when building was complete, the description had changed and I couldn't recruit anything. It's like 1337 now and still no Teutonic units can be recruited, and I have no religious order knights at all, which is really lame and makes me very sad.

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

iirc teutonic knights are available from chapter houses but only for a limited amount of time

Ugh, thanks for letting me know. I'm currently investigating a fun submod that might fix that for me.

Teutonic Knights for the HRE are available until the "Inquisition" event, after that the chapter houses are useless except for the free upkeep slot. If you just want to change that without using any other submod, i can tell you how to do that.

Yeah, how do you do that? Is it in some descr_units file or something?

Ok I've found, you open the export_descr_buildings, you find the teutonic guild and remove the inquisition restriction. It's save compatible too.

Thats exactly what you have to do, i have created a SS Setup compatible file that will apply those changes. Just copy it to your .....\SS6.3\data\campaign\sub folder and check the option "HRE Teutonic Knights Fix" in the Setup window.
