Just on banditry, there are four Rebel "bandit" stacks in Seleukid territory on the stratmap at the start of the game. You might have encountered them when looking around, but they'll be causing devastation from the off unless dealt with.

Learn. I didn't know how to do anything when I got this game, and now I know how to do quite a bit. Volunteer. Struggle. Figure it out.
There are lots of cool mods that never see the light of day because people don't realize that mods need workers, not watchers, or realize it but continue to watch anyway.

Actually, it's Characene, Gabiene, Hyrkania and Karmania. I suspect the ones in Hyrkania hide themselves in the mountains very well.

Some of those others are just Rebels, not the ones I added as bandits plaguing the roads.

What's the difference between rebels and bandits? I thought all rebels caused devastation.

There's no difference, but I specifically put those four stacks in as "bandits" since unlike regular Rebel rovers, they're in non-Rebel territory.

    Rebels have uniforms.

    Quintus.

I do have a look around from time to time by toggling the FOW on, just so I can see where I may need to intervene, even if it's with soft power. I try not to look for rebels and bandits in my own backyard as I feel you should smell them out or stumble into them, not open the clouds to peer at them like you had spy drone. The difference in real terms between bandits and generic rebels is more than imaginary. It's imaginative. If you put them there as bandits, and I treat them as bandits, then that's a result for me.

After all, any leader ever is ultimately judged not on what they conquer, but on whether they can defend its borders and keep its internal and external trade routes open. The shops, in other words.

    #1 Kill Pergamon right away.
#2 Put two stacks on ships and kill Egypt soon after with a quick invasion to their core lands.
#3 Phalanx stacks in all eastern cities so wildlings can't take any of them ever with their too light to achieve anything armies.
    #4 Win.

You're going to get a horrible surprise with this part of your strategy in 2.2c.

Starting capital city, when in the hands of the original owner, only. A very limited form, and not spawning all-elites or any other silly compositions. Up to 10 units representing what could reasonably be on hand at short notice (ie heavily levy-based).

Something to slow both player and AI down and counteract our inability to make the CAI properly garrison a faction's capital. No more "I took Athenai off KH, and it only had the governor and a unit of Akontistai there".

Sounds very reasonable. Just a one time thing, or triggered by every attack?

Has a turn-based "cooldown" on it, so not every attack, but it regenerates after a period of rest. Exactly how long that cooldown will be depends on playtesting.

i agree this is a very nice news...
i know that become complicated, but i would like a garrison script also on the the ptolemaic city on west anatolia and sardis, because with the war between AS and PTOL after few turn pergamon find 2/3 richful city without defender.. for this reason i've findend my pergamon campaign the easiest played so far

Even better! Once would be too little, every single attack too much.
I guess the player won't have it, since we actually protect our stuff?
