    Default Help: Rejected general

    Hello
playing as Cartage on vh/vh about 110 turns..
i'm tryng to play "roleplayng", so i want hannibal as an important general.
at the coming of age of hannibal barca, i've see his traits rejected general, and i'v thinked that he got cause of his youthness..
after 20yers old he still have the traits, so i've decided to use him like a general to make some experience...
now hannibal is about 26 years old, got several battle won, but it still got the traits rejected general...
how it work???? it is permanent??

You have to go to Carthage itself in the winter to be elected General.

Well, this mod realy needs some good faction guides that describes specific mechanics for each faction...

If you lurk around the forum's enough and read the government and colonies thread and reform thread, you can get the majority of it.

Yes but it is not lightly accessible.

That's a fair idea; someone should compile everything and write a central guide. Someone... with a lot of free time.

Yeah given the complexity of the mod I also think there needs to be a sticky thread compiling all the game mechanics, it would be better if it was actually in game but I understand given the constant changes isn't easy to keep editing stuff in every version. I also find it really odd that the devs say that revealing the conditions to trigger reforms can be considered a spoiler :o I mean how come giving information about a core mechanic of a game is a spoiler? Because it's nearly impossible to trigger the vast majority of reforms just by chance.

There is an entire fan community here, which is more than capable of putting its collective energies together to document all of these things. The team is engaged in creating the mod, there are plenty of people here who know how to interpret the mechanics and write them up.

Those same core mechanics are easily divined by anyone conversant in the code, it doesn't need someone from the team to explain it. In any case, those reform conditions are all documented already: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...nts-as-at-2-2b

I know about that thread and the governments one, I'm just saying everything could be merged in a single thread together with more stuff like offices for the different factions for the sake of simplicity, but it's just an opinion. I personally know how to search but many maybe don't find it so obvious I don't know. Regarding the reforms is just I've seen more than once devs answering certain information not being in game because it could be considered a spoiler which I find odd how information regarding game mechanics can be seen as a spoiler. Anyway I personally already know everything that's needed to be known I believe ^^
