    Maybe a bit slow, but surely in order to avoid corrupt files and crashes on my side.People are still working for this mod.

    Kvenland ain't a Viking faction though- it's finnish but with sami mercenaries. It should be located under "Baltic Factions".

    And Gutland has been removed and replaced by the Magyar faction.

    Moerafylki has also been replaced by Frisia.

    Lastly your slavic roster is outdated. The Obodrites are now the Polanie, Vendland is now Great Moravia and the Kryvichy became the Tivertsi- now replaced by Karelia.

    And don't forget that the Franks have been split into Western and Eastern Francia.

    The following factions have been added:

    Imperium Romanum, Wessex, Munster, Normandy, Alba, Gwynedd, Danelagen, Northumbria and the Irish/Viking-faction, i think it's named Gallgaidheil.

    I finally have some time to finish the update of Game of Thrones Total War (by re-doing things manually, as the Ironborn didn't work when i added the files i got - so that means i need to be careful with those guys), and the recruitment file for WotN.

    When done i will update the GOT:TW download at MODDB, and send the files of WotN to Horsa. I think the only one who has been working on the mod lately is Juzy90. But i will say that there is alot of progress done since the version 2.0.

    The main problem will be making the mod stable as always- but the following has been done:

    1. Horsa has made a new campaign map, he has fixed a new menu, new symbols, new historicallly correct names for some of the factions, alot of faction descriptions, he has added at least ten new factions, some replaces old factions and others are completely new. He has added new banners for most factions, re-located many of the factions and has begun the work of placing out starting armies and adding new rebel units for the new factions.

    2. Absinthia has helped in providing historical facts about some of teh factions. Made one or two of the new faction descriptions.

    3. Juzy90 is currently working on alot of new interesting traits.

    4. Me myself have helped out with the descr_strat file by adding the scripted armies in as a whole roster- so then Horsa could remove the ones he didn't want.

    5. I have been adding all of the rosters for each of the new factions- mainly taken from the mods of The Last Kingdom (TLK, Kingdom of Alba, Kingdom of Gwynedd, Kingdom of Wessex, Normandy and some of the units for both Francish factions and all the Viking factions) and East of Rome (EOR, Imperium Romanum, Polanie, the Magyars and Karelia). Horsa had permission from Danova, the creator of TLK, to use the assets of The Last Kingdom- and i myself had permission from Darius to use the assets of EOR.

    This means that the TLK faction rosters are in use in the future WotN version, as well as the rosters of the EoR mod.

    6. I did also implement the new strat-models of TLK and EOR for generals and captains. The Roman Empire also got new ship models, new ships and some settlement stuff.

    I know that Horsa implemented the same diplomats, princesses and other agents for all the factions. I may add faction specific agents to the EoR and TLK respective factions before a release. As i think it's nice with a little variation. I just need the time to do it.

    Custom settlements on the campaign map for the Imperium Romanum is planned also. But i don't know about custom settlements in battle - as i don't know if that's hard to do or not? They are already made for Imperium Romanum on both the DBM and EOR mods, respectively- so it's only a matter of how hard it is to implement them.

    The biggest issue will be to get this mod stable despite all the changes in different files. As we don't want gamebreaking issues.

    What can you do in terms of modding? I may try to look into areas i haven't modified before and try to get the big release stable- because it would be a waste of work to let it stay unfinished.

    However, i will first focus on my two other sub-mods for The Last Kingdom, and Warhammer BotET. Then i may actually improve the WoTN: The Baltic Release, as i have learnt new skills in modding since version 2.0 was released.

    It could get a new version before i try and do something about the big WoTN-mod. I also hope that Horsa will come back.

    By the way, the submod for The Last Kingdom is a WoTN/The Last Kingdom-combined mod. While it may not add new regions or a bigger map - it will add the models and units of WotN onto The Last Kingdom to make the factions there alot more varied. It also changes the recruitment from based on religion to something better.

    Just a question, how can I get this mod to work with the Steam version of Medieval II? I get the error "kingdoms.exe not found" when trying to run the .bat file.

    M2TW Steam version uses only "Medieval2.exe" since last Steam update. Create a copy of "Medieval2.exe" and rename it "Kingdoms.exe", it should work.

    This is my plans for WotN The Baltic Release:

    1. Balancing of all the eastern and Frankish units.

    2. Improvement on the Frankish roster by adding TLK-units.

    3. Improvement on the Viking rosters - by adding TLK-units.

    4. Adding Vikings-themed portraits to the leaders like Ragnar.

    5. Adding a regional recruitment-system not unlike the one seen in GoT: TW but improved - Vikings will be able to recruit the elites of all conquered Viking factions, Prusi and Krusi will be able to do the same towards one another, Häme and Kvenland will be able to do the same to each other as well as all the slavic factions to one another.

    The only faction who can't do it is the Franks - but they will have an improved roster, with new german and brittanic mercs.

    6. Possibly re-mod the map so that each faction starts with all their territories from the beginning, and removal of all the rebels - but this will only be done if i can manage to do it without causing the CTD-bug to return.

    7. Music will be re-added - but not full songs this time around.

    I may possibly have forgotten something.

    8. I may add new rosters for the Krivichy, Gardariki and Vendland, but this is unlikely - i did it already in the big mod though.. But it is so unstable.

Remember that not all assets were created by us, but we have implemented them - and we have permission as we got them back in august for the EoR-assets, and Horsa had an old sharing-agreement with Danova for the TLK-assets.

    I know it states "Velka Morava" as the faction, but these units were later placed into the roster of the Magyars - and the Moravian Empire got another roster.

    Thanks to Lifthrasir we got marka horses, and it was quite troublesome to add their animations as WotN uses unique animations for some of it's Viking-units - like beheading and stuff. Lifthrasir managed to merge the animations into the WotN-file- which i failed to do, even though i succeeded with it in another mod.
