    Icon8 Medieval.exe missing

Been trying to download the MOD "third age total war" and have been told that if you copy and rename Medieval.exe into Kingdom.exe that it will work but I can't seem to find medieval.exe any idea's?

It's medieval2.exe and you rename it to kingdoms.exe

medieval2.exe is the only game executable (it's merged with kingdoms.exe) in the Steam version, a renaming of it and starting the mod via it's desktop shortcut usually works.
This will not work if you have the disk version - here you need to install at least one of the kingdom campaign expansions and then the renaming is not required.

The game executable(s) can be found in the root directory of the game, the name of the directory depends on your installation but usually has 'total war' in it's name.

D you want some units back in MOS 1.7? Install this mod http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...n-1-1-RELEASED
It adds back units who were deleted from the campaign in MOS 1.7, namely the Winged Swordsmen, the Citadel Guard Archers and the Gondor Dismounted Bodyguard.

Gigantus please can you help me! I installed and tried to play 'The last kingdom mod v3.06 (final official version)' again and got crash freeze , when trying to fight first battle.

    I have steam version.

I read the solution in moddb comments, is to rename medieval.exe to kingdoms.exe or vice versa? the problem is, I think I already did this before last time and am now confused which .exe is which , I cant find my backup folder and dont want to re-install the whole game all over again just for the two .exe's!

Please could you upload on moddb or here the original mtw2.exe and kingdoms.exe so I can fix this issue?

(or do i have to use 4gb patch again on any of the exe's?? to fix it?)

    Thank you!!

It could also possibly be lost in VirtualStore if you're using Windows. I don't know what the possible file path could be for Steam files in VirtualStore though.

A reinstall can solve many problems and is a good idea.

First, check if you have a folder at this path: C:\Users\*your name*\AppData\

If yes, there will be a few folders in there which have system files which Windows has placed there (their theory was to help prevent unwanted changes to system files). You're looking for a Steam or Sega folder, I assume (I don't use Steam). There also might be C:\Users\Reece\AppData\Local\VirtualStore, which might have Program Files folders in it which contain even more folders, which may be Steam or Sega.

C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War from there it gives me logs, mods, saves, medieval2.preference.cfg, system.log that is all that is in the folder and to my understanding that is where I am meant to find the medieval2.exe but for some reason it is not there.

Now might be a good time to attempt a reinstall.

First, disable User Account Control, then reinstall.
