"It seems this... Gendry Arryn has accumulated a fair few allies." Rhea scowled at her husband, as a herald relayed the reports of half the houses in the Vale mustering to Arryn's banner.
"We should either wait for the youth to fail, or tie ourselves to him and his house with a betrothal. We command too many men to ignore."

"More than a few, my dear"

The army was preparing for the march.

"Most surprisingly, considering how uninspiring that dull lordling is. Loyalty I guess"

He said. Tarth wore a splendid harness, close-fit, the chesplate covered by a surcoat with his heraldic devices. The sallet was topped by a single-headed dragon crest.

"He cannot deny our might, however. We should wait and see, once in the Blood Gate we might be able to continue our schemes. My own liege is with the Arryn army, so it's a most propitious time to march there"

(OOC: You got the wrong Royces, Ponti. The chars you're with are already at the Bloody Gate)

Rhea looked surprised, and then gave a delighted laugh.

"Young Robert Baratheon himself? Most fortuitous."
Rhea wore the bronze armour of her ancestors, refitted slightly for her more slender frame. The sword she wore was ceremonial; she didn't plan on doing any fighting.

    "Indeed"

Said Tarth, smiling under the open visor. The stallion paws the floor. A horseman arrived, by looking at his surcoat could be none other but Lord Penrose.

"Cousin, the army is ready for the march"

"Good to hear, Lord Ronnet. Sound the trumpets, we must begin this march inmediately"

The old Stormlander nodded. He was acompanied by a young man, his second son and squire, Robert Penrose.

After being assisted by the ageing Ser Redfort with mounting her steed, Rhea turns to her household knights, who had gathered around her like a swarm of bees.

"Sound the trumpets, and what-have-you. We march."

The twelve thousand men marched, in good order. No rabble, but veteran soldiers, men-at-arms and tall knights made up the ranks of the army. The marching army looked like an immense steel snake, moving through the rocky hills and into the heart of the Vale itself. Royce and Tarth ride surrounded by many guardsmen, their banners fluttering over their heads: suns in splendor, crescents and runes.
