He is shown into the Great Hall where he receives a frosty reception. Word of what House Trant had been involved in, how it had come close to endangering the entire Stormlands, was still fresh on the minds of the Stormlords.

Re: To Marry a Buckler
The reception was noticeably cold. Triston wasn't particularly surprised. His father had been a whack job. "Lord Buckler. I find myself with children to marry and a wife to find. My late father paid the price for stupidly endangering the Stormlands, I brought him to jusice myself. As the new Lord of House Trant, my interests are not of deposing kings, but strengthening my country, hence my desire for an alliance between our houses.

Re: To Marry a Buckler
"So you would say but all I saw was a man keen to save his own head after your father's rebellion failed to rouse even the faintest hint of support," spat Lord Buckler, "House Trant is a tainted name in the Stormlands, my Lord. I will not sully my family name by marrying into it!"
[OOC: Due to Trant’s recent actions there’s a hefty negative modifier on such requests. Looking outside the Stormlands or working to recover your reputation in some way might be advised.]

Trant snorted. "You're a damn fool, Buckler. I had a choice between my father and my sons. Take it as you may. You might even understand one day."
Trant swept from the hall in a slightly irritated manner. He had so wanted a son in line for Bronzegate too.
