Default Dominion of Men 3.2 Patch Bug Reports

As it says, bug reports should go here. Please try to be as detailed as possible and include your version of BI, screenshots for visual bugs and attached save files for crashes.

    Known Issues
    - Siege towers do not work properly at Dol Amroth, Annuminas, and Fornost. Until this is fixed we recommend rams, ladders, and spies.
    - Trolls sometimes cause CTDs on some computers. We don't know why but are planning to replace the models as soon as possible.
    - Even with military access the AI, even passive factions (Elves, Dwarves, Shire) will sometimes attack your armies when in their territory. Be careful when trespassing.
    - Some pre-existing stone roads missing building cards.
    - Some orc units in historical battles missing unit cards.

Are there trolls in the battles that crash? Hill trolls and olog-hai are known to cause crashes on the battle map. FATW requirements are the same as vanilla RTW.

I do not know is it a bug or and easter egg but I will still say about... the outpost of Dol Baran has a building stone-paved roads which does not have a picture when I right click it a cartoonish picture apears and with description ,,Should not apear in game!'' Is this and easter egg or a bug?

I found a bug with the Dwarven Wain Bows. I was shooting at troops behind a palisade. The unit I was shooting at moved out of range. My Wain Bow unit then switched to another target; about 80 men; with just a sliver of ammo left. That sliver disappeared with the first volley or two, but my Wain Bows continued to fire until the target unit was completely destroyed.

It seems the Wain Bows have conditionally unlimited ammunition.

It may be a Barbarian Invasion thing. While playing the Eastern Roman Empire I found the same thing with the carriage ballista. I kept that issue in mind and made sure they were shooting at a full target when almost out of ammo and just enjoyed the shooting until the carriage ballista stopped or the enemy unit was wiped out.

I had a battle on the crossing north of Mithlond yesterday. FM was standing on it looking east while being attacked from an Adunabar army. There was several issues. The game speed got super slow, on triple speed it seemed to not get any faster, units were just jumping 10 meters every 3 seconds. I also couldn't move my army across the ford. Only 2/3s of the Adunabar army could cross. Killed them all off and then ended the battle cause i didn't wanna wait 30 more minutes. Had a similar issue in the open beta on the crossing next to Dol Baran once.

Crashing a lot for me in battles now. I think it might be a tree/forest related issue, but it first happened in a campaign as Khand where I attacked a Haradrim army at night (so maybe it was night issue). The other times it's happened have been my first attempted battle in a Beornings campaign, on a map with thick forest. The forest actually makes the FPS drop, so I think it might have something to do with all the trees. I've not been fighting against any orcs at all yet (so it's not the orc/troll issue I read about), and there's not been any visual bugs or missing textures AFAIK, so I'm not really sure what else it could be.

I'm pretty sure this will require a log to figure out, but I don't how to set those for RTW - if RTW even has them.

As a side note - I have Windows 10 so my old CD version doesn't work due to the security system that RTW uses (Windows 10 doesn't like it apparently). Then I also have an Intel CPU so it took a lot of finagling to make the Steam version of RTW Gold to run well (I found that dropping a d3d8.dll into the install folder and then removing it, while also getting rid of campaign shadows fixed the issue, sorta). Those problems are fixed, AFAIK, but let that stand as reference to how poorly RTW runs on newer machines, including mine.

Can someone please remind me where the feedback is regarding automated settlements destroying Adunabar WotW CC buildings? I've been testing it myself and I can't make it happen.

Regarding the troll issue, unlike others I think I've never had troll crashes in 3.0 and before, yet now I get them all the time (except two times, of which one was a long and very difficult battle, oddly enough). So it must be either related to the patch, or to some Windows 10 update (has the latter option been excluded?).

Have you tried setting your battle map to 16 bit yet?

Yes, didn't work (well, one battle worked, but then it was back to "normal").

Have you checked to see that your settings ave not reset themselves to 32bit? I find this game can have a mind of its own.

Windows 10 can't be the reason for all the troll crashes, since I've had them while using Win7. That said, I can't rule out the possibility that it might be the cause of some of the crashes.

It's definitely not patches 3.1/3.2. Aside from not changing anything regarding the trolls in those patches, MoN and others have been experiencing crashes since back in the beta phase.
