    I have 3ds max 7 and i followed the directions but i get this error when loading it

    DLL <F:\Discreet\3dsmax7\plugins\cas_exporter.dle> is not made for this version of the program - not loading

    why???

    I have 3ds max 8,but its not works!!the plug can export cas file but cant Import by big V's tool again~,and case the game crashed......

    About export instruction to follow ... i have nothin to export cause i can t import nothin ...

    i heave 3d max 7
    and i heave some prob

    i can load any model in 3d max
    but when i try save model- i heave lag (bug) with this exporter (mtw2)

    in cas exporter for barbarians and rome i don't heave any prob

    Are there any tutorials on how to use the 3ds max software with the RTW cas files? When I try the steps in the diagram above, it tells me that the file is too old and it might not work properly...

    To launch script
    1/ Selection Utilities (the hammer)

    2/ Selection MaxScript

    3/ Selection Run Script




    4/ To choose necessary script (here import/export for RTW) in the folder Scripts of 3dsMax




    5/ In the rolling menu, Utilities, select the order that activaction of script to now posting (here R:TW Import/export)




    6/ the bar gray antracite which is posted now along the menu is an elevator! To pass your cursor in arrow of the mouse, until has what it becomes a hand.
    Going down the elevator to see under menus of export and importation.


    To allot the file of Textures

    7/ Selection R:TW Importation

    8/ To notch the boxes under textures: Load all and Force textures path

    9/ In Options: Selection the Set Textures Folder Path

    10/ Selection sub folder TEXTURES in your file Vercingétorix XPAK/ UI/DATED/MODELS_UNIT/TEXTURES

    To charge a model 3d

    11/ Selection Import CAS. To seek the skeleton of the unit in the folder Rome - War Total/Dated/models_unit/unit_ xxx_high.CAS




    The difference between low, lowest, med, high, correspond to the general size of the skeleton, the number of polygons which composes it. On a planisphere 3d, according to the retreat of the camera on the character, the engine will call one or other different of these values, at the same time to relieve the graphic engine and to accentuate far away the feeling by a less definition.
    To always work with the definition the best or the largest size: High.




    12/ once the charged model, to click on the bottom of chart of Prospect then zoomer with the serrated roller for the mouse




    13/ In the bar of menus superior, selection: Select by Name

    14/ In the pop up menu Select Objects, selection All then Select.
    Empty white cubes will surround different the sections from the model. They objectify the specific selections.
    You will note in example,that cube surrounds the whole model. The another collar, a front flap, the shield, 2 weapons individually; who are however superimposed, the sword and the pillum.




    15/ If we want to remove one of the weapons, the pillum for example, select: Select Object, then to click on object;




    or Select by name while selection in the list: primary weapon then select and finally quite simply the key "suppr" of your keyboard






    To stick Texture:

    16/ The bar finely higher is sliding. To approach your pointer of mouse until has this it is transformed into hand, as for elevator of menu Utilities.
    Make slip the bar on the line.
    Select Material Editor (4 circles of color)

    17/ In the contextual menu of the material editor, selection Assign Material to selection (icon of the round with the arrow towards the cube). Take care to have selection the whole of your model with, its of course the precondition.



    To import an animation:

    18/ Selection Importation Animation. (it is necessary to have execut Vercingétorix Xidx, to see forum modding tool on TotalWarCenter in this file as a preliminary) Open the folder Rome - Total War/ Data/animations/dated/animations/LIS XX xxxxx.cas (animations LIS correspond to this particular type of model, it is for the example)




    19/ to increase the prospect in full framework selection Maximize viewport toggle (icon of the 2 squares superimposed with small arrow, all in bottom has right)




    20 For moved the selection within the framework to use the icon of the hand of the side view (in bottom has right)




    21/ Launch complete animation by the order in bottom has right, or image by image.
    The bar of defilement under the image indicates the complete number to your images which composes the animation, and which image is currently read, here image 12 out of 28 in all.




    22/ If you want to observe your model under all the seams, selection Select and Rotate, (the round arrow) in the superior menu.
    Transaprency sphere appears in the center of the model, with 3 lines of colors to objectify direction X, y, Z
    Make turn the lines by maintaining your mouse supported. The coordinates are posted in fields X, y Z under image.



    To export animation in BMP on bottom Pink:

    23/ For creer the pink bottom encrust. Menu superior: Rendering, rolling menu: Environment




    In the contextual menu Environment and Effects which posts then, click on the square color background. In the color selector which opens, indicate your values 255, 0, 255 for the pink. To close the window while clicking on closed.
    24/ Remake to slide on the right the bar menu higher and selection Render Scene Dialog (the cafetiére)




    In the contextual menu Render Scene, to click on the Render button in bottom has right.
    Your image will post in a frame with the pink bottom.




    25/ to obtain the series complete of all the images of animation.
    In the contextual menu Render Scene. In under menu Common parameters, selectionner Activates Time Segment. The number image which composes animation will post, here, 1 To 29.
    If you wish select specifical images notch Frames and indicate each number of image, or group of images, separated by one "-" (indent 6)
    The bar gray antracite on the flat rim of the contextual menu is also an elevator, reduced the menu common until in bottom.
    In Render Output, click on the Files button and indicate the folder and the directory in which you safeguard the images, without forgetting to indicate the format of the images has to export, here Bmp.
    Click on Enregistrer. Bmp configuration will be posted, selectionnez 8 bit (format of the infantry in certain 2D games)




    Save File and the Put Image File List in Output Path are now notched and your address registered on bottom grayed in the field between the both.
    Launch the render so that 3Ds calculation the sequence image (if not you will not find anything! )
    Now click on the button Create now





    Your series of frame is posted in Bmp which you can read with your usual image editor.

    What makes it even more stupid is in the comments it says you can just dl the keygen from that torrent and dl the main thing as a trial and use the keygen on the trial.

    Sure does mate I've just been using it to edit .cas symbols in 3ds max 2010 and it's imported every other .cas file I've tried.

    Hi i am using The 2009 3ds MAX i I tried to "instal" (I copied it by read me) this files for 3ds MAx 9 but when i launch 3ds MAX so it wrote that plugin isn't compatible with my version. any help?

    Just to clear something up as a few people keep making the same mistake (including me for a while), this exporter is for 3dsmax 7, 8 and 9, not 3dsMax 2009, 2010 etc.
