"Supervised Hellenic Administration" not working, not available for KH

Hi everyone,

So I have a good mixture of different governments as Koinon Hellenon, with core provinces (possessing Hellenistic poleis) having League governments, non-Hellenic provinces having either allied democracies or oligarchies, and a smattering of "Supervised Native Administration" governments here and there. However, something is wrong here: the "Supervised Hellenic Administration" is not available at all! Even under the right circumstances (i.e. the province must have over 50% Hellenistic polities/culture if it does not have a Hellenistic polis as one of the buildings). I can see "Supervised Hellenic Administration" listed in the building browser when you look at all the government types you can theoretically build, not just the ones that are immediately available. Specifically, I want to change my province of Emporion from a "Supervised Native Administration" to a "Supervised Hellenic Administration", to recruit Hellenistic troops from that province, not Iberian ones (I've got plenty of those from my other Iberian provinces). I'm well over 250 turns into the game and my empire is huge, spanning the entire Mediterranean. Slowly but surely my provinces are starting to become more and more culturally Hellenistic (which you can track in the settlement browser by exact percentage points).

So what gives? Is this a bug? I ran a test with Emporion only and saved that point as a test. Should I fiddle with other settlements to see if this is a problem elsewhere as well? Has anyone ever tested this before? I think it's a new feature for KH, so perhaps no one has actually tested it. I can tell you from my experience thus far that this entire government type does not work/is not actually available.

Not a bug; the Supervised Native Admin doesn't upgrade anywhere. You'd have to destroy your government and start all over again.

However, given I've added that same path to the other Hellenistic governments for 2.2c, I'll do the same for Koinon Hellenon.

I should have made this as clear as possible: I in fact did destroy the government! I destroyed it, did the whole occupation thing that takes two turns, and then the only options available to me in Emporion were once again "Supervised Native" Admin and military occupation, with no "Supervised Hellenic" Admin to be found, despite the fact that the settlement is 59% Hellenistic!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's going on here?? I did everything as you said.

Is there a Native Colony there?

Oh crap. I have no idea! I'll go check and see if there is one or not...

EDIT: there was one! I demolished it along with the "Supervised Native Administration" and was finally able to build a "Supervised Hellenic Administration" after rebuilding the occupation government. Hurray! Goddamn it, though, I wish I hadn't built an advanced native colony there. That was expensive and time-consuming. I don't think it should even be available if it's just going to recruit the same units as the "Supervised Native Administration" in addition to inhibiting me from building a "Hellenic" one later on. Not cool, Quintus! Not cool!

It's not the same units as the Native Admin; it skews to cavalry and proper infantry, and doesn't give you any of the levies that the former does.

Oh. So there is a difference. Fair enough. You should consider making this transition from one admin to another much easier and smoother, though.

As I said, I'll add an upgrade path, but that's it. The exclusion of Native Colonies is intentional and necessary, it's the same condition for all other Supervised Hellenic Administrations. The presence of non-Greek settlers is in opposition to settling Greeks and other Hellenes.
