Default HELP! Game crash on conquering Tenochtitlan!

Ok, so I'm playing my Faustian Reich campaign with my brave colonial army, battered from their last costly victory. I siege the Paynal capital with my force, as it's garrison is 4 elite units and the faction leader. Miraculously my general alone storms the undefended capture zone and wins the battle. The battle ends and it get to choose the settlement's fate. Great! I sack the city of 7000 florins and.... game crashes. I reload my save and try a different option.

    Cash.

I reload again, auto resolve, lose, and then....

    CRASH!

What can I do to fix this and preserve the Reich's future?!

    Thank you in advance!

(Note: Battle took place on Paynal empire's turn)

This is an issue I've had before that I never figured out how to resolve.
Why is it that whenever you conquer the last settlement of a faction and eliminate it that the game freezes?
Would really like a response because I thought this was fixed.

It's a function of the hording feature. If you search "horde" in the forum, you should find the post that describes how to remove that feature and prevent these freezes and CTDs
