Reconstruction of the Whispers

With the investiture of Thorgen Pyre as Lord of the Whispers, royal funds were dispensed, some 80,000 in total, more than what was needed, to rebuild the keep for the future of House Pyre. Workers were gathered and crews were assigned their proper rolls as the King's commissioners and overseers began to the process of bringing the castle to life once more. The King was to be present to oversee the beginning of the rebuilding effort, attended by notables of his court, including Lord Pyre. A raven had been sent to the Crackclaw Lords who had given Blackfyre favor in the past war, House Brune of Dyre Den and their cousins, the Knights of Brownhollow, requesting their presence at the Whispers. The King hoped that one would be able to supply a much-needed bride for the newly promoted Lord of the Whispers.

Lord Pyre was present as well, overlooking the scene silently as well.
With his cloak resembleing his coat of arms, the green-burning mace on white ground, he nontheless wore the black armor of the Blackguard. Having brought a dozen of his soldiers to protect the building efforts, the future of a new Blackguard fortress, gouverned by one of their officers with ties to the region, seemed to be set in stone already.
He barely talked a word, staring most of the time on the build while nodding when the King was adressing him.

Both parties arrive at the King's request. Lord Brune and his cousin, the Knight of Brownhollow. They are brought before the King and his party and bow respectfully.

Daemon smiles at Lord Brune who he had not seen since the late war that secured the Seven Kingdoms for House Blackfyre. He motions for them to rise.

My Lord Brune and Ser Brune, I am glad you answered my raven. I wish for you to be introduced to a new vassal and member of the Crackclaw Lords.

He gestures to Thorgen.

This is Thorgen, the last of House Pyne, Lord of the Whispers and, now, Lord of House Pyre. I was hoping one of you had a bride suitable for his Lordship. For the foundation of any family is not only a warm shelter, but a woman who may love her husband, tend to him and bear him the fruits of any happy marriage; sons and daughters to succeed their father one day. As a Crackclaw Lord, I feel Thorgen, a Crackclaw native himself, will need a suitable bride so that he may become one with his kin again.

Thorgen only nodded polite to both these men, leaving it for now to the King to speak.
Since he wasn't of high blood it seemed wise to not speak unless they wished him to say something. That's how people always treated their vassals and those below them.
