    Default MSI Afterburner FPS Display

    Hi, I am using MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner to display FPS in game. However, the FPS display does not work in Medieval 2 Total War. It seems to work in every other games. I am using MSI afterburner 4.2 and Rivatuner 6.4. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks.

    Weird, my Afterburner works fine with M2TW but not in other games (like G2 NotR for example). Be sure that in settings you have everything like this.

    RivaTuner

    MSI Afterburner

    Obviously, in the second screen, you can choose whatever key you want to toggle on/off OSD.

    Thanks for helping. However, I just found the cause of my problem. Because I was running the game in windowed mode, the FPS display does not work on Medieval 2. It works in full screen mode. This is rather a strange error and Medieval 2 is the only game to have this problem. If anyone got this to work in the windowed mode, please tell me.

    I think FRAPS works in windowed mode.

    Alternatively open the mod's CFG file with Notepad and change this entry (sample from Bare Geomod):

    [video]
    movies = 0
    windowed = 1 # change to 0 (zero)
    borderless_window = 1
    battle_resolution = 1920 1080
    campaign_resolution = 1920 1080
    tga_width = 1920
    tga_aspect = 1.9

    Windowed mode increases the stability of the game to some extend but is primarily used by modders to switch between files and game.
