In few months I am going to begin a HS with some friends.
random factions selection, so no one will choose his faction.

I notice that many factions a very economic problem and this make very difficult to play and the random selection make it even worst.

One of my friend modify a file in order to improve the economy, but when I replace it I got CTD.

do you have any suggestion?

You can't change any of the files of a game already in progress. There are validation settings enabled which will prevent a saved game loading if anything is different.

Furthermore, there are many files which even if validation was off, wouldn't do anything until you started a new game.

Thanks, But I got a CTD when I launch the game.....I will never load a game if I changed something in the file.

Then there's an error in the EDB - what does the log say? I can't find an error just by looking at the EBD, but if you give me the log I'll be able to spot it fairly quickly.

Also, what did your friend use to edit the EDB? If he used Windows Notepad, then it's probably corrupted, you need to use a proper editor like Notepad++.

I will ask him what program has used.

Again, I can't do anything with a modified file. Any change your friend made to the campaign_script will only work with a new campaign, not one that has already started. Plus if he's used Windows Notepad to make the changes, it will be corrupted anyway.
