    Default TWC Hotseat Awards

    TWC Hotseat Awards

It is time for the 4th annual hotseat awards!

For the first time, all sections will be united.

    The Award Categories

    Most Feared Commander
Who makes everyone tremble with fear when they face him in hotseats? Who is the best player?

    Most Chivalrous Commander
Who always keeps his promises and alliances? Who would rather die then betray his ally?

    Most Dreaded Commander
Who is the greatest betrayer? Who would do everything to win, including betraying his closest allies?

    Most Promising Newblood
Who is the best new guy? Who was holding his own against veterans in his first hotseats? Who can even give the most experienced hotseaters a beating?

    Best Roleplayer
    Who brings the most realism?

    Best Diplomat
Who is the best at winning with the quill rather than the sword? Who can convince even his worst enemy to help him?

    Best Hotseat Admin
    Who is the best administrator?

    Most Constructive User
Who brings most to the hotseat community?

    How it works

Every player can nominate one other player for each category. To nominate players sent a pm to me, Dux titled: Hotseat Awards Nominations.
In the message make a list of the awards and add one player's name after each award.
You can nominate the same player for different awards, but you cannot nominate yourself.

    Use this format:
    Title: Hotseat Awards Nominations
    Message:
Most Feared Warlord: (insert player name here)
Most Chivalrous Commander: (insert player name here)
Most Dreaded Commander: (insert player name here)
Best Hotseat Admin: (insert player name here)
Most Promising Youngblood: (insert player name here)
Best Roleplayer: (insert player name here)
Best Diplomat: (insert admin name here)
Most Constructive User: (insert player name here)

After 5 days, so on Monday the 25th of July, the nominations will be closed. Then Gaming Staff will create separated polls for each awards, with your nominations.

After that we will allow a voting round for 7 days. You can vote once in each poll, and of course not on yourself.
On Sunday the 6th of August, GS will announce the winners.

    Prices

Winners shall receive an awesome signature created by SoulGamesInc and will get +25 rep.
Runner ups will receive +10 reputation

    Some things to consider:
You can only nominate players who have played in a hotseat in one of the sections in the last 5 months.
Only nominations sent to Dux via PM will be official.
Remember that it is not allowed to create new accounts and vote on yourself, if we detect this then you will be banned from the entire hotseat area forever.
All players from all sections may participate.
Dux cannot be nominated for awards, as he organizes the votes.

Have fun and may the most worthy contenders win!

    Currently i'm going with
Most Feared Warlord: Soulgamesinc - Think Soul is the only other i can give this too. A lot of vets that i would include such as Dr Mac, Mith and others i have not had the chance to play with in a while so i cannot justify voting for them. Even though Mith still holds the unofficial most scary pony.
Most Dreaded Commander: Alertoverlord - More predictable in nature but still makes me concerned over him backstabbing me in nearly every HS.
Most Chivalrous Commander: This i think my vote on this will go to one of the youngbloods, more inclined to die fighting that to switch sides than the more experienced. Jorno, Urke and Forpony come to mind at the moment.
Best Hotseat Admin: Joerock22 - Doesn't overwhelm himself with too many admin positions, knows the rules and how to deal with situations properly. Dedicates the right amount of time to his admin duties.
Most Promising Youngblood: Zender9 - Held his own against some vets and more experienced players, in some cases winning. In 6 months time could be a rather scary opponent
Best Roleplayer: A Man - Was quite difficult this one, but A Man does a great job at serious RP when he wishes too and is capable of being lighthearted and rather amusing in others aswell.
Best Diplomat: If i'm too vote for anyone but myself i can only see Soul getting this one, only person that invests as much time into diplomacy as i do, and only one to out Baelish me so far.

Still deciding on the others, will most likely wait on to see other peoples arguments.

Does the Dreaded category include doing things that result in the creation of new rules against them?

Yea, I know exactly what are you talking about. If you take it from the perspective of making new rules, it could belong to most constructive user

Most Feared Warlord: joerock/Chieftain were completely unstoppable in their conquest of Elsweyr in TAG.Whatever we put in their way, they always got through. Unfortunately it seems I can pick only one...

Most Chivalrous Commander: RockeZz. We have been allies in several hotseats, and he never broke his word despite the circumstances.

Most Dreaded Commander: Ventos Mustel. Several times he betrayed me ( even though he never called it betrayal) and I have never managed to pay him back.

Best Hotseat Admin: Dragon. All his hotseats are examples of how good hotseat should look like. And he loves subbing, sometimes he rather keeps subbing faction then finding replacement.

Most Promising Youngblood: Saleska2. In a very short period of time he became one of the most active users. He is always willing to try new things and is very helpful.

Best Diplomat: If as a diplomacy is considered convincing people to believe your lies and force them fight your enemies, then I vote for Macrath.

Best Roleplayer: Will need to think about this one

Most Constructive User: Saleska2. As I said before, he is there just for few months, but in this short period he hosted several new hotseats that are often using new scenarios or mods. He also made a patch for AC and started 1vs1. And Im pretty sure he will come up with more things soon.

    Most Feared Warlord:
Ventos Mustel - No question this fellow has some skills.

    Most Chivalrous Commander:
RockeZz_19 - I true Paladin of the first order.

    Most Dreaded Commander:
I don't know... Chelupa Batman I guess, he probably has the majority of the votes by now anyway but I will throw it in the hat again.

    Best Hotseat Admin:
Jadli - He ain't no Macrath but he sure gets the job done.

    Most Promising Youngblood:
kolu2210 - Keep an eye on this one.

    Best Roleplayer:
RockeZz_19 - Good times in Tamriel

    Most Constructive User:
saleska2 - He plays more then any man, launches new HotSeats regularly. Great to see more people like this considering no more then a year ago the main forum was in a serious state of decay, we have certainly done a fine job of reviving it and lately this fellow has been hard at work.

Sorry in advance to the Westeros and TATW faithful. I am not familiar enough with you folk to cast any votes your way, although I am sure there are many worthy contenders there also, shame we aren't voting for separate sections

Words are one of the greatest tools in this game so I thank you for the votes sirs.

    Most chivalrous commander:
Imo, Kilicarslan33 fits this category well enough

    Most Dreaded commander:
Misafeco. Always gets what he wants and follows his wish to annihilate anyone who will stand on his way to be the sole winner of any hotseat

    Best roleplayer:
A man. I think Parafix said enough

    The best Admin:
Jadli. Always helpful and ready to sub any player, also rightful in his decisions.

    The best diplomat:
Misafeco. I've been manipulated as a little kid by this dude in my very first HS, and seen other players side by him when it was completely illogical

    Most constructive user:
Saleska. He's full of ideas and very active here. Of course, he might sometimes be wrong and have a sharp tongue, but he gets my vote

Most Feared Warlord: I would normally go with Mithidrate but considering he is rarely active anymore, I’ll go with Mac. I wouldn’t say I fear him, personally, I just know he’ll be a huge pain in the side if I’m against him in hot seats.

Most Chivalrous Commander: Shall decide later.

Most Dreaded Commander: Shall decide later.

Best Hotseat Admin: Shall decide later.

Most Promising Youngblood: Saleska2 – Having joined TWC earlier this year, I believe he’s proved himself worthy of the position. From joining various hot seats. And earning a name for himself in the community.

Best Roleplayer: Soulgamesinc. I haven’t seen him personally do anything recently but most likely due to most hot seats he’s in are currently moving at a snail’s pace. But over the past few months, he has kept others entertained with various monologs or events in regard to events in the HS. Which are always an interesting read.

Most Constructive User: Parafix - Having started the ASOS hotseat series on Westeros Totalwar. It's really kept us together, and of course brought variation regarding content. Such as his alternative scenarios and so forth.

    Most Feared Commander
yzj991. He barely makes mistakes and always ready to strike if you make one.

    Most Chivalrous Commander
This type doesn't exist in hotseats. At least I haven't met one.

    Most Dreaded Commander
zender9. He betrayed our alliance in HatN and successfully slowed me down.

    Most Promising Newblood
Ramble12. He was definitely new 5 months ago, now he is one of the best.

    Best Roleplayer
    Ramble12.

    Best Diplomat
saleska2 is great in this stuff.

    Best Hotseat Admin
Dragon.. Don't forget the extra "." after his name!

    Most Constructive User
saleska2 obviously. 1v1 championship is a brilliant idea.
Hungary against the Nations - The Holy Roman Empire
Teutonic Terror II - The Teutonic Order - Winner
    Teutonic Warfare - Denmark
    Grand Campaign - Byzantium- Winner
1v1 tournament - Lost to Ramble
Westeros Tournament - Out in 1st round

I sent the PM too. This is more of an FYI for other players.

Yup, but it's somewhat traditional for people to make their votes public also.

Most Feared Warlord: Dragon is presently the player I am most wary of in a war.
Most Chivalrous Commander: I can always trust Zkarel to keep an alliance once one is formed
Most Dreaded Commander: Lord_Luka, for executing the most thorough betrayal I have ever seen in OKTR
Best Hotseat Admin: Jadli, always punctual when subs are needed or rules questions come up
Most Promising Youngblood: heck if I know who is a youngblood or not
    Best Roleplayer: dunno
Best Diplomat: Macrath. He betrayed me, got two of my allies to join him in his betrayal, one against their own best interest, and still managed to make me trust him in the next hotseat.

I will PM Dux with my list (and I remind everyone that for your nominations to be counted, you too must PM him) but here is my general thinking at this moment in time.
    Most Feared Warlord:
I'd say Mith (he remains one of the rare few players that puts as stupid much effort into turns as I) but Mith always wins this, although since nobody has nominated him yet I suppose I'll go ahead and do it.
Most Dreaded Commander: Alert? That seems like picking the old as I cant think of a new. Dragon attempted to make a blood alliance with me that he planned to brake, it was obvious, but very 'dreaded'. I'll have to think on this one.
Most Chivalrous Commander: Contrary to what some new players may think, these players do exist, and they make for excellent allies. I count myself as one of the most loyal players to those I commit to, but I doubt I'll ever win this.
Best Hotseat Admin: Joerock22. There is no doubt in my mind for this category, while Joe has not taken on more than he can handle he remains one of the few admins I can trust to know what he's doing and to do it in a fair manner.
Most Promising Youngblood: There are so many of late that I honestly couldn't give my opinion without a lot of research, most likely I will abstain from voting and leave it in others hands. We shall see.
Best Roleplayer: This is a hard one, honestly I've yet to meet anyone that dose RP as much as myself... in terms of detail and effort I'd say Mith has matched me a number of times, but it's also pony-themed lol.
Best Diplomat: Another hard one, few people put enough time into diplomacy and very few people can out-do me at the game. Parafix has tried, but has yet to succeed. He may get my vote regardless... he's very baelish-ish.
Most Constructive User: Parafix. For activity/engagement alone and the creation of his 'Swords' mod purely for Hotseating that brings out/encourages RP from the community. Always coming up with good ideas to keep HSing interesting.

I was half-joking. But in my opinion if you want to win and the other players are decent, you must be dirty sometimes. It's not just about attacking allies. Are you chivalrious if you don't warn you neighbor before attacking him (or you only declare war right before you attack)? Of course not.
I played a lot of hotseats and most of the time the winner was at war from turn 1. You must expand or you'll die.
Hungary against the Nations - The Holy Roman Empire
Teutonic Terror II - The Teutonic Order - Winner
    Teutonic Warfare - Denmark
    Grand Campaign - Byzantium- Winner
1v1 tournament - Lost to Ramble
Westeros Tournament - Out in 1st round

Who said anything about the Most Chivalrous winning? Usually 1st place is not the goal, they keep alliances/their word. I'd never win such a category because I trick my enemies all the time and come across as evil to them.

Alright then, it took a while but I figured out my list

    Most Feared Commander
Dr Mac - im not in too much hotseats with him but he is good... very good..

    Most Chivalrous Commander
Zkarel for sure, if you make an alliance with this guy he aint breaking it unless you are breaking it.

    Most Dreaded Commander
Ventos Mustel - From what I have seen, you are better off taking him down asap

    Most Promising Newblood
    Dont know.

    Best Roleplayer

Mithridate - He puts alot of effort in it and has a very clear theme

    Best Diplomat
Macrath - this isnt worth a discussion, I havent met someone who equal Macrath his diplomacy skills at all, and I have played with ALOT of players.

    Best HotSeat Admin
Jadli - This one is just extremely close to me between Jadli/Joerock/Dragon. I have a bit more experience with Jadli but I think the others are just as good.

    Most Constructive User
Jadli - Once again a very close call for me between alot of people. However since Jadli is helping me out ALOT in the 1v1 tournament im giving this to him
