A lone horsemen would be seen approaching the army from the north. The dark haired and imposing figure was enough for any soldier to know who it was that came to the Frey encampment surrounding Harrenhal. Meldred dismounts from his horse, handing it over to the nearest soldier. As he passes a group, sitting around a campfire, the Haigh grabs a calfskin from one of the soldiers, not even looking back as he continued walking to see Lord Frey. He drinks from the container, tasting watered down wine. He spits it out before throwing the calfskin away.

He found Frey in a gray tent emblazoned with the sigil of his house. Walder looked bored as he listened to another report on the status of the siege

Walder read the content of the letter he received from the Carons. Gods how the time had flown by since the young Caron had come to his court in the Twins. He called for the squire to come to his side once more. He was a man grown now, by Walder's reckoning. He also called for the septon, who brought the seven oils.

"well, my boy, it is time for us to part ways. Your father calls you home and you are to assume new duties. I hope that you have elarned much in my service, both of stewardship and of war. Are you prepared to take your knightly vows."

Byren quickly reads his brothers words. He would rule a keep? It was an appointment of high honor, and he wondered just how his brother had seen he got it. He looks at Lord Frey and says, "Yes I think I am."

Once Byren had knelt Walder drew his sword and touched each of his shoulders lightly seven times in total. The septon stepped forward and drew a crude seven pointed star on hisbforehead with oils that smelled fragrant. "I name you Ser Byren Caron, an annointed knight. Rise, ser Caron." Walder intoned

Brynden Tully arrives with the Tully army to Harrenhal. They had received word of the Kings intention of meeting while on the rode and Myles left to do so. Brynden arrived with Noremund Blackwood, Lord Noremund now. Blackwood yielded Raventree. Now Harrenhall is all that was left of this non sense.

Edwyn Frey was left in command of the siege. As the Tully party approached, he let out a loud snort. "Brought Blackwood as a prisoner then, my lord? Traitorous scum!" he called out

Ive Come because Noremunds brother is reportedly here. I don't know what in the hells he would be here for other than a sorry attempt at escaping justice. But he walked right into the fire it seems. Noremund will be relaying part of the terms we have reached. Including his brothers loss of Lordship. I can not wait for all this to be over. Peace needs to be reached. I'm tired of watching my countrymen slaughter each other. Kinsmen especially. House Frey and Whent are connected by Tully, and I'll be sure to remind Whent of that. Brother in law be damned, he will pay his penance.

Brynden the One-eyed Blackfish said looking on at Harrenhal

Edwyn crossed his arms over his grey armor. "Good, I'm sick of the smell of shite and muddy tents. The sooner this is over the better. Seven hells, this siege has lasted almost a year. And its the Whents who attacked us. We won't soon forgte it. The way I see it, we're owed something in return."

Lothar emerged from his own tent. "Some don't realize when they're beat."

"Whent will make you wealthy after this, by decree of of Warrick. As I said, penance will be paid."
Brynden looked at the emerged Lothar and nodded,
"Aye, some do not know. I think their union with my House put ideas of grandeur in their minds."

Edwyn nodded, pleased. "Good, good. Many good men died because of their stupidity." he finished. "Im afraid we don't have the finest foods available, fresh bread is the best we have but it is yours my lord."

Lothar chewed a piece of tough horse jerky "even if they don't want to come out, it won't be much longer m'lord. They've got too many men behind those walls and soon they'll be eating their saddles."

Noremund fumed internally. What game was Tully playing? Coming here without a army, surrounded by enemies? When the traitorous lord Frey had usurped power they had fought against him, now they where being punished for it. Yet he knew this peace was the best he was going to get. Besides Bracken died, so will Frey, eventually.
Ralf would have to go to the wall, he would not be happy about it, but he would do it. He would have to.

Edwyn kicked over a box and sat before Noremund, staring him in the eye with his own grey gaze. "Noremund Blackwood." He intoned mechanically. "Your kin, Ralf, is an oathbreaker and without honor. What sort of man are you, I wonder?" He stared into the eyes of his enemy, pondering. "One in the same, if the blood does not lie." he concluded. "What hope do you have of ever reviving the honor of your house if not through faithful service to house Tully, or, perhaps, House Frey?" He let the question hang in the air before answering it himself with a laugh. "None at all!" He settled back down and lowered his voice, out of hearing from those near him. "I saw you on the field of battle." He smiled, but it was mirthless. "Fight me again, and I'll have your head one way or another." House Frey had offered Blackwood its friendship and alliance, but Blackwood had stabbed them in the back. Like Bracken, they would never be trusted again, and treated as enemies from this point until such a time as they proved themselves worthy of friendship.

"Without honor." he murmured the words. He returned the gaze, unflinching "Tall words from a house who's ideas of negotiation include a year in a dungeon and demands of hostages. A question, when did house Tully give you the authority to campaign against your fellow houses?"
More insults, there would be retribution for this, eventually.
"But i guess i must thank your house, for avenging my father. A fitting end to Lord Bracken."

Edwyn gave a smile. "Authority? It is all about you." he said gesturing to the thousands of men under Frey, Piper and Mallister banners around him. "Do not forget, you chose to attack us. We certainly will not."

Brynden frowned at the Frey. The posturing was unbecoming, but Warrick let this get out of hand himself. Arrogant and foolhardy, the men that gathered around him may have a choice to make one day.
"Are you done Frey? Because I have known Walder for years and taunting, I wager, is still distasteful. Prior to my return Warrick allowed such feuds Bracken/Blackwood, and now Frey against the world to persist. Those days are over. After this there will be peace. He thanked you Edwyn Frey. Do not forget that as well. He fought with his brother because his brother made the call. He fought for family. It was not his House that launched offense but Ralf. And after a stint in your...care at that. That alone would give a man cause. And judging by your example, why not march to war? Not that Ralf needed a reason in the past. " Brynden eyed the man with his one eye.

"Ah yes past. After this mess we will all be bloody done with it." Brynden said casually. Looking to Harrenhall. "Now, let us see if my Good-Brother will treat with me before they all starve. Blackwood, Edwyn, accompany me. Try not to speak until I say ok eh?"

Walder returned to the siegeline at Harrenhall at the same time orders from the King arrived. "Lothar, take men with you, and reinforce our garrison at Stonehedge. The Brackens have attempted to assassinate the King." These events may have been in Frey's favor after all. The Brackens would surely lose right to Stonehedge after this.
