    Default Crash after editing files.

I can edit files like edu fine, but recently I tried changing some things in the edb. Afterwards, as soon as I start the game, before it even gets to the main menu it crashes. No matter what I change in there, even oddly if I undo the changes back to the original state.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

What did you use to edit the files? If you did it with Windows Notepad, then chances are you've corrupted them.

As always, what does your error log say?

That's weird, my log folder was empty since I reinstalled to try and fix it, the crashes after didn't add anything to it.

The log doesn't say anything, that's why I left it off. It crashes even before it can add anything would be my guess. Yes I was using notepad, what do you recommend using instead?

Edit: Yea tried using a different program and it seems to be working fine now, thanks.

Startup crashes should leave a log, especially because they're usually issues with the fundamental files like the EDU, EDB, EDCT and so on.

Use Notepad++ or any proper editor. Don't use Windows Notepad.
