Ser Timothy Duncan, a trusted retainer of Lord Piper, is sent to the Twins. The rather tall man, standing at 6 feet 11 inches, was to be the nexus between Piper and Lord Frey.

Upon spotting the Piper livery approaching the Twins, Walder prepared to meet his allies. He did not recognize the knight sent in Piper's place. "Well met ser, are you sent on behalf of Lord Piper?"

    The knight nodded

"Yessir. Lord Piper wants you to know that our men are ready. We await your command."

"This is good to hear." Walder replied. "It is unclear yet if we will be forced to march to achieve our goals, but I am not frightened to do so." Walder coughed a bit, white spittle appearing at the corners of his mouth. "Tell me, have you any news of my daughter? It is hard to believe it is a year since she left my keep."

    Ser Duncan nodded again

"The forces of House Piper stand beside you, if action is needed."

He then answered Lord Frey's questions about his daughter

"Lady Janis has been well. She's been very busy taking care of her newborn son. But Lord Elyas has seen to her needs. I am sure she will grow fond of Pinkmaiden soon enough."

"Another grandson!" Walder looked pleased. "Good, good. And if things do come to war here, I am sure that things will go well for us." He gestured to his vast army. "What other lord of the Riverlands could hope to match this?"

In contrast to Lord Frey's optimism, Ser Duncan was rather cautious.

"Anything can happen in a battlefield, mylord. No one thought Blackfyre would be able to stand a chance against Lord Baratheon. And now he sits in the Iron Throne, and Lord Baratheon's flesh was torn by the carrion birds and the hungry dogs."

"True enough, ser Duncan." Walder replied. "All the same I am confident in success. Bracken and Blackwood will kneel."

Myles rode up to the Twins with his usual retinue of 50 men, he came to speak with Lord Frey. What he found seemed strange in his eyes, but he was open to reason. He spoke with the Blackfish about how to proceed before he left. In the past few weeks, the Blackfish and Myles had set about making things right in the Riverlands.
