    Default Medieval 2 Kingdoms desktop shortcuts being deleted by Windows updates?

    Are the Medieval 2 Kingdoms desktop shortcuts being deleted by Windows updates? I seem to have lost my Kingdoms desktop links and even all the launchers from my installation (Crusades, Americas, etc). It is unlikely (but maybe not impossible) I did this by myself and do not remember it. Has anyone else noticed anything of this sort?

    I have not experienced this issue at all on W10 and don't remember ever experiencing anything like this on W7, W8 or earlier.

    I remember wiping out a good number of desktop links with CCleaner - I had renamed the EXE for some experimental stuff and forgotten to restore the original name. And then I ran CCleaner with the 'invalid links' removal....

    Another ordinary day because I have an external disk that I use for twice daily backups of the 'user name' directory

    Otherwise I haven't heard of a case like this.
