Default A Raven in a Cage

With the trail coming to an end Jonos Bracken had dispatched Goldcloaks to each gate in the city. The mission was simple to detain the Lady Blackwood and if he resisted Lord Tully as well. Even now 50 goldcloaks waited at each gate for the pair to approach.

ooc Capture request for the Lady Blackwood.

As the Tully and Blackwood parties approach the gatehouse on the way out of the city, a line of goldcloaks forms in front of the party.

"Halt, in the name of King Daemon Blackfyre!" shouted the sergeant in charge. The party dutifully came to a halt, while yet more Goldcloaks filed out of the gatehouse barracks and formed up in two lines on either side of the Riverlander party. The sergeant approached Lord Tully.

"We have orders to arrest the Lady Blackwood," said the sergeant, as two of the Goldcloaks approached her litter and waited for instructions to open the door and remove her, "We request you allow us to conduct our lawful duty."

The Tully-Blackwood escort was easily large enough to slaughter the assembled Goldcloaks and force their way through the gate, but that would entail assaulting men about the King's business.

OOC- Precisely why I made particular requests before starting the duel. Largely ignored like the rest of that post until the reroll, but the other demands were either written off or accepted when the King said, Very well, Lord Tully
Either way, I am starting to get tired of this.

"Without orders written by the King's hand and signed by it, we cannot recognize this as true action. We can however, go back to the King as he literally just gave his word that Lady Blackwood may return safe to her Lands" Warrick said loud so that all peasants and commoners see, the Lord that provided them food while the Kingdom was rife in tumult, Kingswood burned, and many more antic occurred under the last King, now being subjected to what seemed to be a retraction of the Kings word.

The Goldcloak nodded to the two men who opened up Lady Blackwood's littter and motioned her out.

"The warrant is for Lady Blackwood alone, my Lord," said the Goldcloak Sergeant, "She is to be brought to the Lord Commander for questioning. You and the rest of your party are free to go."

The KING expressly gave his word she may return to her Lands. If you have written orders by the King, then as Lord Paramount of the Riverlands I will execute my duty and take my Vassal to the King.

    Warrick stated still loudly.

He then said much lower, If you refuse to allow me to do so it would be a direct violation of Kings law, as she is one of my vassals and I am here to see her to the Kings justice. So again, provide a written order and I will take her myself. Attempt to take her yourself and many will die here, yourself being the first. If you have no such order, I cannot recognize this order and must demand you step aside.

OOC- Read my PM before continuing Poach, I need to know if the Kings word is being ignored on purpose or if we are just ignoring that whole request prior to the duel evidently.

The Goldcloak produced the warrant, signed by the Lord Commander.

"This is a legal warrant, my Lord," said the Goldcloak, "Now I will request one final time that you allow us to take Lady Blackwood. If you refuse, well you outnumber us and we don't want to die today, but you will be breaching the King's Peace and I will have to report that to my superiors."

It seemed that Kings landing was worse than rumored, and the kings word did not have weight outside of the red Keep. "Lord Tully, it seems the best course of action is to return to the red keep and bother the king again." This whole venture had proved completely fruitless, and she knew who was at fault. "If you and your men would be willing to escort me back to the red keep i would be most gracious." She turned to the Gold Cloak, "You may accompany us if you wish."

So there you have it, Lady Blackwood said she would come under my custody back to the King, and if so directed to the Lord commander then shall be taken there as well.
Warrick spoke loudly with intent to draw a crowd.

Being taken to the King upon arrest, I am sure the people of this city would appreciate that. If anything dishonorable occurs on the way to see the King, say you try to slaughter me and/or my prisoner, I am sure word of it would spread throughout Kings Landing and reach the Kings ear within hours. So come Lady Blackwood and Knights of the Riverlands, let us march in a tight formation, back to the Red Keep. Tight formation because we don't want to disturb the people of Kings Landing and their daily chores too much.

Warricks men began forming to move as instructed.

"To the Lord Commander, then." said the Goldcloak, "My men shall clear a path."

[OOC: Both of you appear at the Lord Commander's office. I'll let Trot handle it from there on in.]

Negative, I'm not going to the LC, rp it however you'd like but I'm not going to the LC, I've said king. Mic said King. I am not going to the LC, raise a ruckus outside the Red Keep if I must but the King will see his Lord Paramount.

The King, Ser. We go to the King. Warrick reiterated.

OOC: Be aware, again, Zeus, that the Goldcloaks are in the pay of the Lord Commander, Jonos Bracken. They don't care what Tully says, they will take him wherever the LC tells them to take Blackwood and Tully.

"My orders are the Lord Commander, my Lord," said the Sergeant, "Accompany me there or you shall be resisting this arrest and breaching the King's Peace."

Alright, so no matter what is said, the Goldcloaks would die potentially than anything. Ok, I can ride with that. They came to take Blackwood, that was what they said. When we get to the Red Keep, I'll go to daemon. Is that acceptable?

OOC: I think they are going to the Goldcloaks HQ, which not sure where that is. But I doubt they would let Tully just go see the King, we will have to see.

[OOC: I'm getting ing sick of your complaining on this. You have two options: 1. threaten the Goldcloaks into backing off, which they will. 2. Let them take Lady Blackwood to the Lord Commander of the Goldcloaks. If you do not reply to this post with you ordering your men to draw their swords and threaten the Goldcloaks, Lady Blackwood will be taken to Jonos Bracken, there will be no further debate. Make your choice, I've given you enough time and explained this often enough.]

A troop of Goldcloaks formed a unit around Lady Blackwood and began escorting her away from the Tully group. The Sergeant tips his helm to Lord Tully.

"Thank you for your cooperation, my Lord," said the man,"I've no orders to detain you, you are free to go about your business."

The Sergeant moved to join the men escorting Lady Blackwood as they began to pass up the side of Lord Tully's column of guards.

Yes Ser. Lady Blackwood I am sorry. I go to the King immediately about this. Hold to faith. I'll be back by your side soon. Warrick said straight as he and his men rushed to the capital.

People of Kings Landing, please make way, I do not want anyone to be caught in the middle of this should the good law man decide it must. Make your report my good Ser, I shall make mine.

OOC EDIT- I will amend the post in a moment. Apparently my own fuse and incompetence missed a few things.
