    Default Overclocking cpu

hey guys, All I'm interested in is some good benchmarking utilities.

also, when I'm checking my temps under load is there a way I can see the temps in an overlay or something over the benchmark I'm running. Alt tabbing out to check mid way through a bout of 3d mark stops the benchmarking process.

    thanks.

If it matters I'm using and AMD athlon 64 3700+ san diego (stock is 2.2, I'm sitting at 2.36 ATM with an idle temp of 29C)

I think that 3DMark isn't really the best benchmark for cpu.. (maybe 06, dunno..)
    Try good old SuperPI

If you have a program for measuring temperature, just run it in the background.

I have to disagree. I've used 3Dmark to benchmark my computer and overclocking the CPU makes a huge differance. Then again it depends on what video card your running as well.

Yeah, that's what I meant, video card is a huge factor in those. You could look just at the cpu marks, but it's a bit difficult to use 3DMark just for that purpose. Actually cpu OC'ing affected more in 06, while with 05 I didn't notice anything.. :hmmm: It takes a long time and it's hard to follow the temperature etc.

So I just prefer a simple program that doesn't take the whole screen and gives the results in just few seconds if you want to.
