The Coronation of Daemon of the House Blackfyre, the Fourth of His Name
Dated in the two-hundredth and seventieth year since the landing of Aegon
Despite the Great Sept of Baelor being under-construction, the coronation of Daemon Blackfyre was still scheduled and set up. The crowning ceremony was to take place in the Red Keep and overseen by a high-ranking Septon within King's Landing, in the absence of the High Septon, who had been secretly paid by the Blackfyre to ensure his crowning was still performed, whether the High Septon accepted it or not. By victory on the battlefield, the defeat of his enemies and the death of Steffon Baratheon was Daemon truly the rightful King, enough of a reason for the ceremony to be performed. Much of Westeros accepted his rule, save the North, the Iron Islands and Dorne, but it did not matter to Daemon. He was the King and the King did as he pleased after all.
An auspicious date was chosen and set. Ravens were sent far and wide across Westeros, to both those who submitted and those who hadn't, welcoming them to witness the crowning of Daemon Blackfyre and that of his Queen, Serra Blackfyre. Security was handled by the Goldcloaks and the Blackguard, who made their first true public appearance in their black armor. The Lord Commander was present, at the side of the King, sat upon the Iron Throne this day. A Septon laid nearby, surrounded by the Blackguard, holding a cushion and cloth that hid the crown of Maekar I under it with a Septa holding a crown for the Queen. Beside the King, to his left, was his soon-to-be Queen, Serra, with the sword, Blackfyre, to his right in plain view for all to see. The heirs were absent for now, yet were under heavy guard.
The ceremony would begin shortly...
