the effects were kinda fitting for Shogun back then, in an 'Asian cinema blood' style, but CA has been lazy enough to not change the same over-the-top effects for 3 games in a row and now they look silly imo.
pass for me
i was really hoping with the blood dlc there would maybe just maybe be different animations and kill sync but i guess they will just leave the horrible animations they have now and no formations whatsoever pike phalanx shield wall....
I've bought the blood and gore dlc but I have turned it off. IMO the blood hasn't been implemented very artistically and is too overdone. Its wrecking the otherwise stunning visuals. Some of the models are virtually simply painted red after the lines clash.
There will always be those dudes who dissagree with everything. Take a look at the "oh they degraded the witcher 3 graphics to hell before launch" comments all over the place and crap like that even now. But thats the beauty of the internet i guess. You never apreciate what you have....

Watching even a single goblin get shreded by archer fire is worth more than 3 dollars.
I can't believe people aren't happy about this
Looks crap imo.
I like the dismemberment but the blood effects are too tomato sauce for my tastes. Rome 2's was better, imo.

Under the patronage of Nihil. So there.
The STEAM-page lists "Campaign Events" as features in the DLC. What does this mean, exactly? I tried Googling it, but the hits only came up with the usual trashy websites endlessly quoting the official press-release in a lazy attempt to get clicks, or YouTube-video "reviews" playing for ten minutes in Custom Battle; also in a lazy attempt to get clicks.
Holy crap; that looks stupid.
CA needs competition.
Just pop-ups that gives a buff/debuff to your campaign.
Blood and gore is awesome.
