One Lord Commander went to meet another: Donnel Lefford, the Lord Commander of the Blackguard, came to see Jonos Bracken, Lord Commander of the Goldcloaks. The two groups were both headquartered in King's Landing, and both had nominally been tasked with keeping the peace. Lines had to be drawn, responsibilities split up, else the two groups would be stepping over each other and interfering in each other's affairs, generating friction. His four escorts, four of the best knights in the Guard, waited outside Jonos' office, trading glances with the Goldcloaks on duty at the door.
As Donnel entered the office the contrast was already stark: Bracken sat in his gold coloured ringmail while Donnel strode forth in black plate, highlighted only by the blood red trim and cloak. He dropped a letter down on Jonos' desk, written by a scribe and affixed with King Daemon's seal when the two were touring the Dragonpit, observing the restoration efforts of the fortress that would become the Blackguard's home.
"The King would have the Blackguard operate the Red Keep's security," said Donnel, taking a seat, "With both of us 'keeping the peace in King's Landing'. We shall have to reach some sort of agreement on how we operate alongside each other in the city itself, since the Red Keep has been decided for us."
Jonos looked up as Lefford entered the room, in his jet black armor. Jonos had heard of this Blackgaurd, an interesting development to say the least. "Ser Lefford," He begins looking at the other man and gesturing to the chair across from his says, "take a seat if you would." The room had not yet been changed from the previous occupants furnishings, everything was simple little ornate decoration or gilding. Jonos gets up and walks to a cabinet pulling out a bottle of Dornish red and two silver goblets and pours a glass for each of them. "Why don't you begin by telling me what you had in mind." He takes a sip of the wine swirling it in his mouth to savor the flavor while waitin for the other man to speak.
Donnel shrugged.
"We're soldiers more than policemen," he said, looking the room over, "We'll guard the Red Keep and do whatever in the city the King would have us do. If you'd like our input or help anywhere I'd be happy to provide it, and I'm here today to find out if there are any such areas you'd like our cooperation in."
Jonos taps the table thoughtfully for a few moments, "Perhaps your men could help with Flea Bottom" Jonos says taking another sip of wine.
"What in there needs done?" asked Donnel, "Whatever you need done we'll do it. Might not be pretty or clean, but we're not bound by the same rules your Goldcloaks are."
"Give me a list of everyone in Flea Bottom you suspect of criminality." said Donnel.
The Goldcloaks, being a police force, generally had to follow procedures or source evidence before moving on criminals. The more successful ones played on this limitation by doing everything through middle men or front organisations, ensuring their name could never be tied to anything if brought to a court. Donnel had no intention of going through the courts...
"Go talk to Gerold Flowers, he handles the list of current cases and suspects, should be able to provide you a list of names." Jonos pulls out a pen and paper writing out a parchment granting Lefford access to the records. "He shouldn't give you any trouble if you show him this."
Donnel took the parchment and left. He had work to be doing.
Lady Blackwood arrives defiant. "Bracken, I demand to know the reasoning behind this!" she was angry and had no problem showing it.

Jonos is lounging in his chair when the Lady Blackwood arrives he raises an eyebrow at her tone, "My Lady might think to be more respectful. Would you like some wine? He asks standing up and retrieving a bottle of Arbor Gold. He pours to cups and passes one to Lady Blackwood.
Lady Blackwood looked at him quizzically, "No i will pass, you have detained me without reason." Noting the wine she say's "If this is a social call there are other ways to get a ladies attention."

He sips his wine swirling it in his mouth to savor the taste before replying, "Are you sure it is a fine vintage?" He sighs regretfully and sets down his glass. She was a pretty woman, but alas a Blackwood, "No not a social call, Lady Blackwood, although I am sure your brothers would be thrilled at the prospect." He pauses, "Yo tried to bring Tully down on my house Lady Blackwood, a foolish move. The mans writ carries less weight with each passing day."
Adianna remained stoic "It seems so, regardless, what do you want?" she was downcast. "You have won, despite my best efforts."

"Yes I have," He studies her and her downcast eyes a shame to see her so broken. "It is time we made peace, your father died and your army lost twice, your appeals to Tully did not help you." He pauses. "Let us end this now."
"You want peace?." she was surprised, she had though this another part of a plot to destroy her house. "That's well and good, however you are not Lord of stone hedge."

"And you aren't Lord of Raventree Hall." He pauses, "You agree to the terms and my father will agree." He pulls out a parchment and passes it to her. "Sign this and control of Ravensborough, Stallion's Run and the surrounding lands will pass to house Bracken, in return House Bracken will forfeit it's claims on the villages of Stone Mill and Arron's Field. " He pauses taking another sip of wine, "It is time for this to end, sign the treaty go home to your family and mourn your dead, house Bracken will not trouble you anymore after that." He looks at her face he was offering Blackwood a way out of the conflict a way that would allow them to retain some sense of dignity.
She though for a moment, weighing it up in her mind. "Fine, it is agreed then." While Jonos at least had the bearing of a civilized man She did not trust his father in the slightest. "If that is all i most go and notify Lord Tully everything is fine. In addition next time, try to arrange a audience through more conventional channels."

He smiles satisfied as she signs the paper, "Thank you for your understanding my lady," he calls out to the Goldcloaks outside the hall, "See that Lady Blackwood makes it safely back to Lord Tully if you would, she is free to go."
